Boasting organizational options galore, the REI Tara City Bag stores, sorts and manages your essentials for commutes, travel or everyday adventures.

Made from 100% recycled PET; each bag keeps twelve 16-oz. plastic bottles out of landfills and is tough enough to withstand the rigors of daily use
Front flap opens to reveal organizer panel with slip pockets for a phone/PDA, pen and other small essentials; flap secures with magnetic closures
Main organizer pocket unzips from top to reveal smorgasbord of pockets, including 9 card slots, 2 zip pockets and 1 slip pocket; gussets allow easy access and security
Separate zippered pocket is accessed from top as well and lets you stash bulky items or drop in whatever you may need without fuss

I normally carry a wristlet but needed a purse in which to carry my compact .45 pistol. Most normal conceal carry purses are just ugly or huge. I finally found this little purse and love it. I will use it whether I carry my pistol or not. If I could get it in another color I would order it. It has all the great features others have mentioned. To me, it is like a fanny pack without looking like one:-)Since I don't like purses I figured I would just end up returning it ;however, I would keep this purse even if it wasn't big enough for my intended purpose. As a non-purse person, I love this little purse and will use it weekly. The only issue is the small velcro closure on one of the inside pockets. Not a big issue but on such a great purse they should have went with a better closure. However, this detracts little from the overall usefulness of the purse.

I use this bag everyday.I store it in my locker at work and it doesn't take up much space. I have stored my cell phone in the front pouch by the magnet flap and have had no problem with my smart phone. I store my pen vertically in the same flap there is a perfect spot for it between the to bigger pockets.I use it like a wallet and put my cards in the slots and money in the zipper compartments.The only problem is after 6 months the gromet came off one of the zipper pulls.I plan on asking for another for Christmas but in one of the new colors. Mine is lighter and shows the dirt.When I fly its easy to store in a back pack and not count as a carry on.

I can wear the strap across my body under my seat belt; It is so easy to grab any card necessary, phone & sunglasses fit in one compartment with several other necessities. The front flap holds pen, lipstick, gum, candies, etc. I love the magnetic catches and the multiple zippers to make access so easy. Best bag I've every owned.

If you like pockets inside your pockets, with optional pockets inside those, you'll love this bag. if, on the other hand, you would like to have a purse that allows you to conveniently locate your checkbook, a pen, and a credit card, without having to think too hard about it, you might be out of luck. so much fabric goes into the making of all of these layers of pockets, that there's almost no room left in this thing for carrying your checkbook, let alone a small notebook. it won't hold a pen upright; the only way a pen fits is sideways in the bottom. and it is designed not to *carry* a wallet, but to *be* a wallet.

if you normally carry a large bag and want to trim down, this thing might work great. if you normally carry a small bag, and want a highly functional purse that allows you to find everything, this is not it.

it is also heavy for its size, compared to other purses i've owned. with almost nothing in it, it weighs a solid two pounds. the strap is fashionably slender, so this weight will cut into the shoulder unpleasantly.

in short, this thing is cute, but not very useful.

Loved this bag. As someone stated before, I loved the wallet features and stopped using my reg wallet all together. But, the magnet placement on the front flap should be rethought. The magnets sit right on the pockets where a cell phone may be put. I had to replace me cell because the magnets disrupted the touchscreen and the phone eventually failed. I ended up returning the bag.

This bag is the right combination of roomy (my Kindle fits with cell phone) without being bulky, divided compartments for ease of finding things, and price! I love that it has a "wallet" like compartment. . .place for lipsticks. Well made. . only wish there were more colors!

I have MS and need something that isn't too heavy but still carries all I need and looks nice. This is it! It organizes beautifully and I wish it came in more colors. I have all the ones available right now and missed out and getting a wine colored one. I honestly cannot find one drawback to this.

I LOVE this bag! I use it as my wallet/purse. I also have to carry a diaper bag, so I am able to put that in our stroller and put this bag over my shoulder to have my hands free! This bag is great. My ONLY complaint is that the part of the bag that connects to the shoulder strap is beginning to tear on one side. I've only had the bag for one month (it gets daily use) and so I am sort of disappointed. I'll try to repair it because I love the freedom that this bag provides me.
