    • Tough frames are crafted from 6061 aluminum to create a stiff yet lightweight chassis and are shaped to facilitate a more natural stride
    • Free-Rotating™ Suspension lets the binding rotate much further forward than previous Atlas designs, freeing up the stride and reducing the amount of tail flip

    Comments about Atlas 830 Snowshoes:

    These snowshoes are really a blast. Both on a trail or bush wacking in new snow. A little tricky to get over vibram soles on insulated hiking boots or back country x-c ski boots. Once on, they are light weight and stable. Fun to use in the back yard or around the neighborhood or on park trails. If you want to go at your own speed, take photos or just enjoy the outdoors, they are perfect. Great for making a trail for your dog in the back yard. For those of us who are no longer aggressive skiers, these will make you look forward to a new snowfall. You also don't need to rely on grooming.You are good to go right out of the door. I would suggest a pair of gaiters to keep snow out of your boots. Snoeshowing is more work than I expected in new snow, like our recent 20 inches. Once a trail is packed down, you can go pretty quickly. Poles are helpful in deeper snow or on a hill. The less expensive two piece are adequate.
