The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Should be waterproof.
Slow to set up.
Steep learning curve.
Strap cracked and broke after less than 2 years of little use. Expensive Garmin repair.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS Fitness Monitor:
I had a 405 and was looking for a replacement that had good battery life. I failed to read the list of features the watch can display. I found after a couple uses I could not do with out current pace and exchanged this watch for a 210. Extra $30 but had the piece of data I needed.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS Fitness Monitor:
This is a great watch if you want more info than a standard watch can give you, and it's fun to look at the data afterwards on Strava or Garmin Connect. This is a simple alternative for anyone who wants GPS without messing with pages of menus and more detailed data they don't care about.
It does everything it is supposed to do and is very reliable. It paired immediately with my old Garmin HR monitor which was nice. Looks nice enough for me to wear it as my daily watch too.
My biggest complaint is how long it takes for the GPS to acquire satellites. It can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes. There does not seem to be any correlation between turning on the GPS near or far from where I last turned it off. It's always a gamble so I try to make turning it on my first step in getting ready for a run or ride and it's usually locked in by the time I'm ready to head out.
I'll eventually take a step up to one that has more heart rate functions and hopefully connects to the satellites faster, but this has been a great watch for the money.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS Fitness Monitor:
I have found this to be a good purchase. The watch fits better than other sport type watches i have had and is easy to use. I have noticed that it takes a minute or so to connect to the satellite's, but it isn't a big deal I just start the connecting process while stretching. Uploading and editing the data to Garmin connect is easy and has been pretty neat seeing my stats and improvement.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS Fitness Monitor:
I've had this for a couple years now, and am not in love with it. I had another Garmin before this one and it fell apart. What I like about this is that it is not as bulky as the other and it's very easy to figure out. What I don't like about it is that it seems to take forever to locate satalites, sometimes during runs it will lose the satalite, and every so often it will need to be reset, which means you lose any data that hasn't been downloaded. I'm in the final weeks of marathon training and it died on me AGAIN. This time it won't reset. I love knowing my distance and pace, but if I can't get it to work again, I'm not sure I'll buy another. Frustrating!!!

This watch is great! Very easy to use and very accurate! I don't know why people say that it doesn't display your current pace, when mine does! Great watch! Would recommend it!

Great product...works well...display is clear...battery life low but only while working with satellites...this issue is true with most GPS units...

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS Fitness Monitor:
Set-up was quick and straight-forward. I love the menu system: fast, intuitive, easily mastered. Acquires satellites quickly, uploading data to PC is easy (though not as convenient as wireless syncing), and its light weight makes it barely noticeable when working out.
I've used it during workouts and a couple runs and it has performed flawlessly each time.
Only complaint - it is a little bulkier (i.e. thicker) than I expected, but it fits my wrist just fine. My wife has the pink women's model and it is noticeable on her wrist.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS Fitness Monitor:
I use the Garmin 110 Forerunner everyday for my runs. It replaced an old Garmin 301 Forerunner. I first bought the 110 for my son. He loved his so much that I bought another for myself. I love the compact size, the speed with which it acquires satellites, and that it does not lose the signal when I run under tree cover (unlike my old Garmin). I travel a lot for business and have used my Garmin 110 in several states. It has never taken long for it to acquire satellites in a new location. Some reviewers decry the fact that it does not give you an instantaneous pace but it is good enough for me. I really like the online interface so you can track your runs and view a map of your past courses. I also like the durable electric contacts on the back instead of the mini-USB contacts as on my old 301 which corroded. I've run 7 marathons and am training to run another and this is a great training aid. The only feature I wish it had is interval workouts as my old 301 did. However, I can easily do intervals on a nearby track and track them manually. I don't think you really need the bells and whistles that higher-end models may have.

Comments about Garmin Forerunner 110 GPS Fitness Monitor:
This has been disappointing at best. On Christmas Day, I accidentally hit yes for the French language button. It took more than an hour to get it out of that mode. Yesterday it took 11 minutes to locate a satellite signal. My computer often cannot find the watch when I hook it up to download data and this is a frequent complaint on the internet, so not just my computer's problem. The power save mode doesn't seem to save power as it is dead within 24 - 48 hours if I don't plug it in. The commands to save/reset don't seem to work in certain modes. My running speed has improved as a result of the lap pace feature so I do like that once I get going. The site to download data and than fill in the extra detail, such as running vs skiing, takes awhile to wade through. Thinking of returning it.
