Comments about Canari Eclipse Bike Jacket - Men's:
I've used this jacket for about a year, so I've been through the 4-seasons here in Atlanta. What I like about this jacket is the visibility and the zip-off sleeves. This jacket seems to work best with the sleeves off.
The biggest issue I have with this jacket is the breathability or lack thereof when the sleeves are on in colder weather.
The vent on the back of the jacket just isn't enough and I would always be soaked with sweat. Feels more like wearing a trash bag.
I loaned this jacket to my son on a recent Metric Century and he had the exact same complaints that I've had with it.
So..... with that said.... the jacket works best/vents best with the sleeves off.
With the sleeves on, it is not breathable enough for me. I replaced the Carnari with the Gore Phantom which I am finding to be a much superior jacket for wind blocking and ventilation.

Comments about Canari Eclipse Bike Jacket - Men's:
Overall decent warm weather jacket. Very handy in the summer because sleeves can be removed. Very bright. I live in Seattle however, it rains most of the year. This jacket is not waterproof. There is some water repellent quality when new but that is gone after a few months of use. Don't even think about re-water proofing it with the expensive wax REI sells, it doesn't work.

Comments about Canari Eclipse Bike Jacket - Men's:
This jacket is fantastic. I've had it for almost a year now. I generally wear it between 32-68 degrees fahrenheit. In the cold, just wearing a long sleeve t-shirt underneath is about enough for me. In warmer weather, the sleeves zip off and it makes a good light weight vest.
When it's too cold to wear alone I generally zip the sleeves off and wear it over my winter gear just for the visibility.
Shortly after I got this jacket I took a spill. I was extremely surprised to find some minor fraying and scuffing where my shoulder impacted and slid on the pavement and that's it! There was more damage to the lining, but hardly any visible outward damage. I was amazed, I thought for sure it had been reduced to rags.
I also really enjoy the butt flap in the back, and folding the jacket up into pouch form is great for those days when you're not sure whether or not you'll need a jacket and just want to stow it in your bag.
The water protection is non-existent, but I knew that before I purchased it. It is still better than nothing in a rain storm and can stand up to drizzle and sprinkles fairly well.
The only criticism that I can level toward this jacket is the zippers. They just feel a little small and cheap. I've gotten the zipper stuck several times while zipping it up. But never to the point where I couldn't easily get it free. It is nice, however that the main zipper can unzip from the bottom as well as the top, making for an easier fit and a little extra room.
Also, I machine wash and tumble dry this jacket and it has not caused any deformation or other problems.

Comments about Canari Eclipse Bike Jacket - Men's:
The best feature of this jacket is the neck: the zipper is well guarded, with fleece. Your neck will never rub the zipper, and the sweat wicks off.
The worst feature is the cheap zippers: it is easy to get the sleeves off, a bit harder to get back on, but the big problem is the MAIN ZIPPER. I just pull it over my head to avoid problems I was having.
I am a female with slightly narrow hips, so it works for women also. The sleeves are nice and long for reaching the bars.
Others must work harder than I, or else I am just used to always being bathed in sweat from my metabolism, but I did not notice the moisture problems others have commented on. None here. I just zip the zip down a bit. I ride in San Francisco Bay Area so 50-70 degrees is my usage.
It has lasted a year of hard use so far, which is good for the price.

Comments about Canari Eclipse Bike Jacket - Men's:
I use it on windy days because of where I live in the upper desert. Useful on days between 45-60 degrees. Roomy enough for jersey & long sleeved base layer for colder days. I agree about previous sweating comments but I open both zippers and air flows and dry out quickly. I wash it with regular wash but let it drip dry. I have owned this same jacket for over two years and still looks like new. Rip stop nylon is very durable. I use the inside pockets so I have 5 pockets total. Two straps are great to tie on the drops.
