Comments about Teva Forge Pro eVent Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
spent 5 months hitchhiking around australia and new zealand and lived in these shoes hiking through floods and deserts all day every day. walked many many miles. they fit me fine right out of the box. not narrow or wide on my feet. as to being narrow, that is something you look at when you first try a shoe on. i love the waterproof low-top. nice and light but kept my feet amazingly dry even when briefly submerged while rock hopping across streams or puddles. when they did get wet they dried much better than boots. was so thankful i bought the waterproof event version. places like south island new zealand would have been much harder without waterproofedness. good strong sole that protected my feet on rough rocky terrain. "Spider" rubber on the sole, sticks to some surfaces and doesn't stick as well as others. all the new rubber soles do this, they haven't invented anything that sticks on all surfaces all the time. shoes held up very well. 5 months of wearing every day in the bush and only now at end of trip is sole really suffering and small holes on upper. best low top hikers i have ever owned. about to buy another pair and thought i'd write my first review.

Comments about Teva Forge Pro eVent Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I've had these shoes for a couple of months now and I've been wearing them almost every day. I am very satisfied with their comfortable fit and quality. They have great water resistance and have shown no wear and tear so far. One negative I found about these shoes, they have pretty poor traction on wet smooth surfaces (wet cement pavement or asphalt). If you're planning to wear them in urban environment during rain/snow keep that in mind.

Normally an 11, I bought an 11.5 and still too small. Returned for a 12 and they were just too narrow to fit my feet. Cant say much about the shoe itself as I never wore them out! Had to return for a different brand.

Buy a half size larger than normal. I am normally an 11 or 11.5, usually 11.5 is a little big on me. I got 11.5 in these and they are TIGHT. Probably going to send back for larger size. I tried to wear them around my room for an hour to see if they would loosen up, but instead the shoes cut off circulation and my feet fell asleep.

Comments about Teva Forge Pro eVent Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I just try to find a good pair of shoes without spending a fortune. My work is either inside or out walking. I consider a pair good when I don't notice them. This pair started out too tight on the width, but they are breaking in. They are still a bit stiff in the sole and that's when I notice them. They feel "uneven" when walking inside.
I will say this: The first pair of Teva's I had were more comfortable, but they didn't last but a couple of months. The company was not very sympathetic, so I swore I never buy another pair. These do seem to be more durable, but not as comfortable.

Comments about Teva Forge Pro eVent Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I posted an earlier review on this shoe, before I had opportunity to expose it to any moisture. I tried two different pairs of this shoe, and both leaked badly, just from walking over grass that is wet with dew. If any moisture gets on the outer top of the shoe (mesh), it quickly moves right into the inside of the shoe, resulting in wet feet, wet socks, and wet shoes inside. This is not a problem as long as the shoe is worn on only dry surfaces, but I must have a waterproof shoe, and this shoe is definitely not it. Both pairs of leaking shoes were returned to REI, as was a third, unworn pair still in the box.

I am a shoe nut by admission. Sometimes a shoe comes along that just fits right, looks great and performs. Teva nailed it with this shoe. I can't speak for those whom suggest this shoe is narrow as I have a normal D width and it fits just fine.
AS for the heal coming up, I beg to differ. This would be true for a shoe too long but if the shoe fits, the heal issues are nonexistent.
Can't recommend this shoe more but if your looking for an ultralight, keep looking. This shoe is on the heavy side but not too heavy....

Comments about Teva Forge Pro eVent Cross-Training Shoes - Men's:
I have a narrow foot, and recently was advised to move from a size 12 to a size 13 shoe, due to arch length (should always be measured). Was told that men's feet increase in length by one size about every 10 years. I wear Sole Softec Ultra orthotics, due to past plantar fasciitis problems, and they are rather shoe-filling. This pair of shoes was so instantly comfortable that I wore them out of the store and the rest of the day, including a 3-mile test walk on pavement. I have a narrow, hard foot to fit, with a narrow heel. The heel of this shoe can slip a minor amount, but causes no problems. I wear heavy socks when walking, and these shoes are very comfortable. I have just ordered a second pair. I think they are built very well, and need the waterproofing due to where I live. Will use them for walking and light trail work. A shoe expert (pedorthist) in another specialty shoe store told me he owns the same shoe, is very pleased with it, and recommends it to his customers.

These are pretty nice shoes--I won't overlook Teva in the shoe dept. anymore. That said, these are quite narrow, with a narrow toe. That was fine, as I have a narrow foot. My problem was that my heel kept lifting in these shoes. Sole to stiff? No heel pocket? Dunno. Back to the store.
