Comments about Keen Anchorage Winter Boots - Men's:
I ordered these boots to to keep my feet warm while standing around my telescope all night on cold nights, and for use after skiing, etc. I wanted something warm, comfortable, and easy to put on and take off. Here's how this Keen boot stacked up on these goals:
The photos in the ad made the light-colored insulation lining look fairly thick and plush, like an after ski boot; the first thing I noticed on receiving them was that the insulation in the sides of the boots is thin. The soles are very thick and do seem to have a lot of insulation. The insulation is advertised to be technically advanced, so perhaps a thin layer will be sufficient to provide warmth. I have not yet had a chance to wear them on a cold night and make a determination.
I almost always fit into size 10 or 10.5, so I ordered 10.5. The length is fine, and so is the fit with thin cotton athletic socks. With the thicker wool socks I'd hoped to wear with these, the fit is evenly snug, maybe a bit more snug than I'd like, but I suspect they will become a little looser with more wear. The toe box is relaively roomy. Wearing them around the house with the thick wool socks for several hours at a time, they have been reasonably comfortble.
The foot opening in each boot has elastic panels on both sides. There are also two generous pull loops on each boot, one on the heel and one on the front of the foot opening. These features make it very easy to bet my foot in and out. They slip on almost as easy as slippers, and far easier than any hiking boots I've ever had.
I am going to keep them.

Comments about Keen Anchorage Winter Boots - Men's:
The day after I bought these, our town had an unusually wet snowfall of about 3 inches. I wore these all day shoveling snow in the neighborhood and at our business. They were great for sloshing around in that wet snow keeping my feet warm and dry. They are also stylish enough to wear out to dinner without looking like Nanook. The ankle is a bit bothersome at first, but now I don't notice it. The toe box is nice and wide so my toes stay warm. If there is more than 4-5 inches of snow, I will either wear a taller pair of boots or put gaiters over them.

Comments about Keen Anchorage Winter Boots - Men's:
These are exactly what I hoped they'd be, but let's start with the negatives:
"Waterproof" is an exaggeration. You'll probably want to spray the outside with Kiwi protector or some such to prevent stains. There is a membrane under the nubuck shell that supposedly accounts for the "waterproof" claim, but I wouldn't trust these for wading or standing in ankle-deep water.
Although they are quite warm and well-insulated, these are not boots for arctic hiking through deep snow. Think of them as around-town boots for snowy climates and you'll be very happy, but as a substitute for sorels or some such they may disappoint.
Now the good: my trusty old Timberland work boots needed an upgrade. Their waterproofing and insulation has never been great for snow-shoveling and such stuff, and they are also a pain to take off and put back on now that we have new floors in the house. I wanted something warm, fairly waterproof, easy to pull on and off, comfortable and good-looking enough to wear as casual office shoes.
These boots hit every mark perfectly. As I said, I would not recommend these as deep-snow hiking boots, but they are great for shoveling two feet of snow. They survive puddles, snow banks, and snowman-building admirably, and keep my feet warm and dry all day long, without the stuffy/sweaty feeling of rubber or true "snow" boots. They are super easy to pull on or off, and look great with jeans or slacks.
The tread is really good, and they wear and feel more like sneakers than boots. We've had probably 60 inches of snow in the past month or so, and these boots have made life a LOT easier. Really, they are exactly what they look like in the picture: a comfortable/casual shoe with winter-boot performance.
They are probably not an ideal choice for serious winter work boots or adventure boots, but they'd do in a pinch or for day excursions. They are awesome for soccer Dads who have to shovel, sled, navigate uncleared sidewalks, and so on. You can kick them right off when you step inside for a cup of cocoa, and them slip them right back on to head back out and finish clearing the walk, and your feet will stay dry and warm all day.

Comments about Keen Anchorage Winter Boots - Men's:
These reviews are helpful, so I decided to take the time to add my own. I got these boots as replacements for Sorrels that were wearing thin, particularly on the soles. New Sorrels are getting bad press, which is why I wanted to change. While these are nice boots, they are not nearly as well insulated as Sorrels, nor are they as high. They are not really suitable for tramping through moderately deep snow in the woods.

I received these for Christmas and expected them to fit like my other Keens. I have a wide foot and love the fit of Keens. When I puled them out of the box I could see that they looked narrow for Keens. Tried them on and I was right, to tight, what's up! The length is perfect, I like everything else about the boot. So I'm in the process of trying to stretch them out.

Bought these boots at the REI store while on vacation in Colorado Springs [...] great boot. They were just perfect for the snowy conditions we had throught my stay. They also fit my wide foot and provided really good support. I expect nothing less from Keen. I would recommend these boots for anyone.
