Comments about Pearl Izumi Thermal Leg Warmer:
I'm a bicycle commuter (~30 miles/day) and wear these for winter mornings. It's always warmer when I ride home so I stash them in my pack. These serve the function very well.
I'm pretty fit (5'10" and 150 lbs.) and the size M fits very well. The cinch around the ankle is a bit loose (that's the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 stars).
Others have cited that these will fall down from the thigh. I put them on BEFORE my bike shorts so they are tucked in. That works well and I have not had any problem with them sagging. I did try wearing them with regular shorts one time and found that they would not stay up. In hundreds of miles of riding, I've not had a single issue yet.
These are worth getting - the soft fleece on the inside is smooth like buttah.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Thermal Leg Warmer:
The latest generation of Pearl Izumi leg and knee warmers are a failure, because the elastic grippers at the top are terrible. Both my Pearl Izumi therma fleece leg and knee warmers constantly sag. Thermafleece is nice and warm, though. The new elastic grippers fail though. I'm constantly pulling them up and having to readjust them.
The sizing has also changed from previous years. At 6' and 180+ lbs, I've always been a large. The large knee and leg warmers are now baggy around the knees. At my size, I'm definitely not a medium.
In 20+ years (100K+ miles on the bike) as an avid cyclist, bike racer, commuter I've gone through about a dozen or so pairs of leg and knee warmers(and several sets of PI warmers). My older pair of PI leg warmers still fit great and stay up (despite a hole). Go with a different brand till Pearl Izumi fixes the poor grippers and weird fit.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Thermal Leg Warmer:
With the temps still only in the 30's I wanted to ride but didn't want to spend $120 for tights. These are the perfect to go with my cycling shorts. Only used them once so far, out on a 38 degree ride and these kept my legs nice and warm, handle wind great, and stayed up with no slippage.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Thermal Leg Warmer:
Got these so I could wear shorts on marginal spring/fall rides. Like others mention, the thighs fall constantly. I have huge, tree trunk thighs, and still the tops slip, even pulled up so they were tight around my legs.
I'm going to try the Novaras, which have less coverage but seem to stay up better.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Thermal Leg Warmer:
The packaging from Pearl izumi has in five different languages, how wonderful their products are. But not one word how to use this product. Simply if you wear these warmer on the outside of your bike shorts. They will be around your knees in a short distance. I wear these with the top of the warmer between my thighs, and the pant legs of my cycling short. 30 miles of hill repeats didn't have a problem with the warmers sagging or bunching. So the warmer work if if you use them the way I do.
