Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Gloves - Men's:
I have the old Cyclones. They kept my hands reasonably warm, but they were stiff and somewhat uncomfortable.
The new Cyclones are a complete reboot of the older gloves. The gel padding in the palm features larger, thinner pads that work better to absorb road shock. The back of the glove is softer and has a little more stretch. This makes it a much more comfortable glove. I'm no longer fighting the glove to wrap my hand around the bars.
Is this a cold weather glove? No. On a 41F morning, my hands were still a little cold. But they weren't miserable. I could still feel the bars and levers, and that's all I really need. Cold hands just made me appreciate that hot mug of coffee a little more than usual.
The fit seemed 1/4 size larger than the old version. I was concerned that the looser fit would make the gloves drafty, but I noticed no such effect.
The grip glue on the index and middle fingers will probably rub off within 100 miles. It always does. Not that I really needed it for anything, except to tell people how new my gloves are. The snot stripe works as advertised. In a welcome change, the seam between the terrycloth and the thumb-tip is very smooth, which I'm sure my nose will appreciate when it's raw and chaffed this winter.

Wore these for first time on a ride that started out at 45def F. The wind does come through these gloves just a touch more than I'd like. They are OK, and I think they'll be fine on chilly rides in the early fall or late spring, but I think I'm gonna need something warmer as well.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Gloves - Men's:
My ratings:
Breathability: 5 stars. Great if the temperature ranges from cool to warm.
Wind resistance (advertised as wind-resistant): 2 stars. On a cold day, I feel the wind though the fingers in under a minute, and I run warm.
Water resistance (advertised as water resistant): 1 star. On a rainy day, the rain soaks through in about 10 seconds.
I have a lot of Pearl Izumi clothing that I love, but these gloves don't live up to their description.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Gloves - Men's:
I've ridden in temps in the low 40's and they were fine...my hands did not get cold, nor did they get overheated. Like the way you can feel the shifters/brake levels. Good product.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Gloves - Men's:
I thought these would have SOME weather resistance for my commute but they absorb water like a sponge and have NO insulating ability. First wet ride, I had to stop and wring them out often. Even dry they pass heat like a metal plate. The only good use would be on a dry warm day when fingerless gloves are just as good. waste of money.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Gloves - Men's:
These gloves fit well and were very comfortable. Unfortunately they do not live up to the "windproof" label, as my hands were frozen after a 3 mile commute at 34 degrees. These would be fine for chilly days, but not cold commuting. Will return these and upgrade to insulated gloves.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Gloves - Men's:
the gloves breathe so they only block some of the cold wind out, used them in 60 degree weather and my fingers were cold and there is too little padding on the palms of the gloves. IMO these gloves are OK for short rides in mild weather, if it gets below 60 degrees your hands will be numb with cold.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Gloves - Men's:
I got these gloves for my commute to work through the winter. They are a bit pricey, but I have found them to be worth the money. They fit well, and keep my hands warm even on cold, rainy days in Portland, OR. They dry quickly and are comfortable for the return trip in the evening. The only downside is that, now that spring is coming, I'm going to have to get a pair of warm-weather gloves as these are definitely too warm for that and I've gotten used to having the padding.

These are good gloves and will keep them. Perfect for cool mornings. The finger length on the Medium size was kinda of small but a Large size would have been too big for me.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Cyclone Bike Gloves - Men's:
I commute 8 miles to and from work several days a week, year round. These gloves are the only cool/cold weather gloves I wear. Although my hands start out cold, they heat up quickly, even during single digit air temps. I cannot stand riding with sweaty hands, so for me, these gloves are the perfect blend or wind proof, warmth, breath-ability, padding, and comfort. I love the touch and feel of the brake and shifting levers. The only downside is that I question the durability of the gloves; after about 5 months they have started to tear along a seam in the wrist.
