Rated4out of5bySteveWfromLooks good but a bit stiffThe boots seem fine and the price was right.
Having a drawstring to tighten instead of laces seems bit odd. The drawstring is a bit flimsy but the velcro strap on tap is neat and I don't have to bother with the drawstring.
Boots seem a bit stiff but I have only worn twice and seems to be getting more flexible.

Rated5out of5byKoumpoufromSuper warm-LightweightPerfect for the recent very cold days in east coast. Super warm and lightweight like a running Salomon shoe. Great traction from contagrip sole on ice and snow. Worked perfect also in Utah mountains as an everyday boot in snow/apres ski.
The only con: it smells a bit probably because it's not breathing very well.
Tip: wear it with wool socks.

Rated5out of5bywalkinfromI will buy this boot againWalking is my daily outdoor routine,5 to 6 miles every day, all year. Mostly on hard surface but some on packed snow as well. 350 plus miles walked in these boots so far. They are comfortable, warm and they keep my feet dry. One aspect I use to judge boots is how well the sole holds up over the miles. The soles on these boots are keeping their tread longer than I expected and the wear is more even then on other boots I have worn. The lacing system is convenient and durable, all seams are intact and I like the hook and loop straps. I definitely will purchase another pair when I replace the pair I have now. I have highly recommended this boot to friends.

Rated4out of5byClausHenryfromWould buy this againI'm 50 years old. I've worn and own Lowa and Zamberlan boots. First time buying Salomon. Weather in Chicago has been in the single digits and teens. Very cold with snow on the ground. I walk 4-5 miles a day. Remember: I'm not standing, I'm moving. 1st day out and these boots fit perfect. Very comfortable, light weight and my feet were warm. I've never used this type of lacing system, but it worked fine. My feeling is "If it works and it's comfortable, then get used to it." I'd buy another Salomon boot for sure.

Rated5out of5byTeeBoogzfromI hope they never go out of stylei intitially wore timberlands and Nike Acg Boots and for some reason my feet hurt after long hours on the job ( FedeEx Home Delivery) I would.spend additional money on gel inserts, thick socks. A friend is a member of REI and I admired his shoes, boots and sandals. I went to REI College Park and fell in love with the look of the Deemax 2 dry. Then I slipped my foot into an 8.5 and my entire foot melted away in comfort.

Rated5out of5byJesse SaavedrafromGreat Performing designI bought this boot to use at work. It was stylish and I needed something warm and waterproof for those (few) miserable days we sometimes get in Texas during December and January. They worked perfect in the cold wet rain we recently got. I couldn't have been more pleased with the performance of the boot. It is lightweight enough to use while mountain biking and comfortable enough to use for a couple of hours of foot patrol in the cold wet rain. The unique shoe string system makes getting the boot on and off a cinch and I don't have to worry about the laces coming untied. Great boot, couldn't be happier. I highly recommend them.
