The North Face WindWall 1 Fleece Jacket - Women's
The North Face WindWall 1 women's jacket delivers windchill-inhibiting comfort during active cold-weather pursuits. It is slightly less wind resistant than WindWall 2 and a touch lighter weight.
- WindWall™ 1 is made from 100-weight fleece and delivers wind-resistant warmth in moderate cold and provides excellent insulation when layered
- WindWall 1 fabric blocks about 80% of the wind while still allowing enough airflow to ensure a dry, comfortable fit
- WindWall 1 features a mesh liner and utilizes a unique fabric-bonding process that allow a limited degree of external air permeability
- The North Face WindWall 1 features 2 zippered hand pockets, a drawcord hem and elastic cuffs
- Standard fit ensures freedom of motion

Overall a wonderful jacket. I bought the Weimaraner Brown and absolutely love the color. Very different. A neutral color that seems to go with everything yet it's not black. I first purchased a size medium but had to exchange for a large. It runs VERY small in the chest while the sleeves are a bit on the long side. If you are stick straight with a small chest and long arms, you've found your jacket. If you are petite and busty, look elsewhere. If you are average, buy up a size and it should fit nicely. This is consistent with other reviews I have read, as well. I really like the texture of the fleece and have yet to feel a breeze come through the jacket while wearing it. Hope this helps you decide!

This is my second The North Face Windwall Jacket and I absolutely love it. I purchased one with a hood a couple years ago and wear it all the time. I wanted one without a hood and got the Fissure Green. It's a very pretty greenish/blue color. I wear this jacket in windy weather and it keeps me very warm and the Windwall is very effective. It's a great jacket to wear casually just running around town, or on a hiking trip. I will tell you that the newer jacket is sized somewhat smaller than my older jacket. My old one is a medium, but I had to purchase this one in a large to get a similar fit. The medium was snug and I knew I wouldn't be able to comfortably wear a sweater or sweatshirt under it. This is my 3rd The North Face jacket and I have never been disappointed. I also have a soft shell. I would highly recommend this jacket.

I bought this fleece for my trip to Greece in September. An REI employee recommended getting something warm for the breezy island nights. I ordered a medium and it fit perfect! I'm 5'7", 163 lbs, and a 32F. The sleeves are a little on the long side but nothing too crazy and it fits my chest just fine. I'm not sure how windproof it is yet but I will update my review after my trip. I got the Black Cherry Purple and its a great color, same as shown online.

I ordered this jacket primarily to use for layering in the winter. It fits well under all of my winter coats. I also wear it around the house when I'm cold. The fleece is super soft and comfortable. I bought it in Weimaraner Brown and I really like the color. It's neutral and goes with everything.
The one complaint is that the sleeves are about 1.5 inches too long for me. I didn't return it because it fits great in the body and the sleeves aren't so long that they make it hard to function. Still, the sleeves do occaisonally get in the way and are a bit annoying.
