This was my very first North Face purchase so to say the least I was pretty disappointed. I purchased this jacket in January and by February I already noticed a great deal of piling on the sleeves. I had only worn the jacket a hand full of times. On the positive side, the jacket is very warm and fits nicely.

They didn't have it in my size so I went up a size; therefore, I cannot speak on the fit. I can say that I love wearing it! The only down side is the static it can produce, but that might be a problem with my hair type and location. Bottom line: a keeper.

Bought this for my first winter in Boston. I'm 4'10", 105 lbs, and usually wear an XS in everything. I got an XS in this and it fits much better than expected. Definitely the most stylish of any North Face jackets I've ever tried on. The fit is perfect, tapers in at the waist (great if you're banana shaped like me and have no waist definition), sleeves are a little loose which gives the illusion of a thinner waist. I can comfortably layer a fitted, thick sweater underneath. Great go to jacket for mild winter days, clean lines, great fit!

Coming from San Diego, this is my first winter in south central Alaska and I needed cold weather gear ASAP. I'm not a huge outdoors type of girl and wasn't looking for anything bulky. I wanted something casual that I can wear with just about anything and is simple enough to put on as I run out to the store. This jacket was perfect and keeps me really warm (even when its -10 & windy here in the Valley). The length is perfect because it sits right at my hip and I can adjust the string for a tighter fit (no more wind creeping up this jacket!) My favorite part of this jacket is how high the zipper covers my neck. I can wear a thin scarf and still be warm. Bottom line, I would buy another just to have :)

Do yourself a favor and purchase a more expensive jacket or another brand.The fabric cannot handle rubbing against backpacks,etc. It pills easily and looks 3 years old when it is very new. Expected more from a North Face product.

I bought this jacket after seeing it on a friend and then seeing i on sale! I wish I would have bought it in different colors (they were sold out). I'm a size medium (size 8) and I bought one size up after reading it ran small. I didn't find that to be true for me. I'm returning the large for a medium. I also haven't had any bunching under my arms like others experienced. Other than that, this will be great to layer under a rain shell, or worn alone as a cold weather jacket. Good quality, warm medium pile fleece, great feel, style and color. Got it at a great price, definitely worth it. Love North Face!

I love the look/style, feel & color and it's super warm, HOWEVER, whatever I wear underneath - whether it be long-sleeved fitted tee or even a short-sleeved tee, the pile (?) on the inside of this jacket causes the shirt underneah to bunch up in the armpits and ride up the torso! makes it v. uncomforatble unless you sit still and don't move at all. Can't discern this when trying on at first in the store or even at home if ordered it through the mail - you need to wear it out once and see.
