Comments about Mountain Hardwear Canyon Shirt - Women's - 2009 Closeout:
I love this model of the Canyon shirt and own several. The size 12 fits me well (5'10", 150 lbs, small chested) whereas in most others tops I wear a 10, so you might want to size up. This shirt wears well, washes great, dries quickly, doesn't wrinkle, and has EXCELLENT ventilation. I swear I feel cooler wearing it than I do wearing less because it keeps the sun off while letting the breeze through. I wear it traveling, gardening, hiking, camping. I wore it in Brazil and was the only tourist not sweating! On really hot days gardening I wet it and the evaporative effect keeps me even cooler. I use it for sun protection, but it also makes a great layer - under or over, buttoned up or open like a jacket. The pockets are great - the Napoleon pocket is quite large but unnoticeable. I also use the flip up sunprotection collar and the roll up sleeves can give it a different look. I can't say enough about how great this shirt is - get several while you can! The new Canyon is trimmer fitting and maybe more "stylish", but I find it fussy, not as versatile, and not as well ventilated.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Canyon Shirt - Women's - 2009 Closeout:
I own two of these shirts and think they are great. My wife owns a sleeveless version, and also likes hers so I ordered a long sleeve version for her. The long-sleeved women's shirt fits a bit looser than the sleeveless and the sleeves are a little short, especially when compared to other Mountain Hardwear products we have purchased. The biggest issue is with the color. Sesame looks quite yellow on the web page, but is really a very plain khaki or tan color. We'll be returning the long-sleeve women's shirt because the sleeves are too short and the color is nowhere near what is depicted.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Canyon Shirt - Women's - 2009 Closeout:
Kat's review summed it up perfectly. This shirt was the best hiking/trekking/travel shirt ever, a perfect classic, and now they have changed it, not for the better. I have used these shirts since 2004, when I discovered that they were the coolest, most stylish, most useful shirts ever. I typically wear a sleeveless, and use the long sleeve as an overshirt. That also gives me double the pockets and plenty of sun protection, and it looks good as a set. The napoleon pockets are big enough for an airline ticket and maps, the zip pocket is secure, the mesh side panels make this exceptionally breathable. Easy to wash, and if you hang to dry, it looks great, MUCH better than any other "travel" shirts. I know, I gave away all my other travel shirts after a research trip in a equatorial wetland where the temps were over 100 degrees and the humidity nearly that high. This was the only comfortable shirt, and it looked great to boot. Very flattering, cut for a woman. No Cons, just wish it came in more colors.
The new shirt doesn't measure up, it shouldn't be called a Canyon shirt!
I actually stocked up on these closeouts because nothing else comes close. Mountain Hardwear, please bring back the original Canyon Shirt!!!
