Comments about Mountain Hardwear Lamina +45 Sleeping Bag - Regular - '09 Closeout:
Ordering this product on closeout the bag was a steal. I was looking for something that would pack small, and wouldn't take up much space in an internal frame pack. The bag met these needs with the included compression sack. Unfortunately, when sleeping in a cabin that got down to 50 F inside, I woke up in the middle of the night a little cold. Furthermore, I found that adding a liner that was supposed to add 15 F to the bag, I was still not as comfortable as I would have hoped. While I'm disappointed that this bag will not be perfect for all of my adventures, it will serve my needs in warmer weather camping.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Lamina +45 Sleeping Bag - Regular - '09 Closeout:
Used the bag (with my Cocoon CoolMax liner) for a week in northern Minnesota and it performed VERY well!! Nightly temps in the low 40's to mid 60's. We got one night of heavy rain, a light drizzle that lasted two straight days, and pretty dense fog every morning.
We were backpacking with a tarp shelter and the shell held up really well during the rain! The majority of the splash beaded up and ran off. Unpacking at the end of the day the bag was still a bit damp but dried out nicely by bedtime!! I didn't notice any cold spots :-) and my feet which are normally a bit on the cool side stayed warm throughout the night!
I found the EN temp rating right on the money. I felt just a bit cool the first night it hit 40. (Again I was using a +8F liner…) My girlfriend was feeling invincible on night number two (also ~40F) and wanted to try my bag- I had to give her back her TNF Cats Meow about 2am… So might want to add a few degrees to the temp rating for women.
The only negative I could find is that the zipper snags every once in a while if you don't 'guide' it with your finger in front.
Overall an outstanding bag! Just what I've been looking for!!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Lamina +45 Sleeping Bag - Regular - '09 Closeout:
I recently purchased this bag for a fall trip to the Ventana Wilderness. Night time temperatures ranged from the high 30s to mid 40s. This bag, when combined with a goretex bivy, worked perfectly. My only wish would have been for a little extra insulation in the footbox. It's lightweight and packs small. Overall, it's a great addition to my kit.
