Comments about NRS Maverick Paddling Gloves:
Took the gloves for an 18 day rafting trip through the Grand Canyon, so they got a workout. By the end, the seam between the index and middle finger had come separated, allowing water into this otherwise waterproof glove.
The gloves are warm, grippy (No blisters!) and work wonderfully. If it was not for the seam splitting, they would be perfect. Some aqua-seal fixed them up temporarily, but they need to last longer than 3 weeks of use.

Comments about NRS Maverick Paddling Gloves:
Used gloves on Nanatahala Rafting trip. Kept hands warm and dry. Great grip for a wet paddle. Best glove for its purpose and class. Tried the NRS Hydroskin Paddling Gloves for comparrison and there is no comparrison. The NRS Maverick do the best job hands down. Can keep hands a little warm in warm weather conditions but thats what there made for. Other gloves do not have the quality of grip, comfort and keeping your hands dry as the Mavericks do. Took the Hydroskins back and bought an additional pair of Mavricks for my fiancee. Great gloves!

Comments about NRS Maverick Paddling Gloves:
I picked the gloves up Saturday and went paddling on the Etowah Sunday. Temp was low 30s at put-in and low 40s at take out. Amazingly warm even when immersed in the river. No leakage and no condensation or sweat accumulating inside the glove. It's very flexible, I was able to use a digital camera very easily.

Comments about NRS Maverick Paddling Gloves:
The inside seams are stiff and rubs on your hand when paddling. The palm side of the fingers is this rubbery material that isn't pre-curved enough, so constant finger pressure is needed to grip the paddle. One can justify the discomfort if it is designed for super cold water, but it isn't. I hope there are other choices in comfortable, cool water paddling gloves, but I haven't found it yet.

Great gloves for paddling my hands stayed warm and dry except I hit the bottom with my hand during a roll and tore a small 1/4 inch hole in the thumb.

Bought these gloves for a rafting trip after reading the reviews for all the gloves offered through REI. Loved the gloves. They kept my hands complety dry in freezing temps. Definately glad I bought these gloves.

Comments about NRS Maverick Paddling Gloves:
My son and I each tried our new Maverick gloves kayaking the North Fork American yesterday. We were both very impressed by their performance. They are very warm - we could dip our hands in the frigid water and not feel a difference. They provided excellent grip on the paddle. They are completely waterproof and the wrist seal and stretchy fit kept water out of the glove. Only when we rolled and our heads froze, did we realize how cold the river was. These are the best we've ever tried for kayaking.
