The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
by RaindodgerfromLove 'em!My wife says these are the bomb! Comfortable, just enough room for wearing something underneath (like shorts) without binding. Water never got underneath the barriers and the fabric protected her legs from "the stuff in the water that she can't stand." On a hot day, but water at 48-degrees F., she said the pants had a little tendency to stick to her bare legs but not a problem or irritant. Her butt stayed dry, as did her cotton shorts underneath, sitting in water in the kayak. She couldn't be happier with this product and highly recommends it to any woman considering paddling pants.

by bzgirl21fromWow ... better than I expected.I got these for my first time to kayak on a cold day. It was about 36 degrees when we entered the water. I wore two layers under them. My legs never got cold. When splashed, the water beaded and dropped off (or just remained on top). It never soaked in. Even the seat got significantly wet but my seat did not :-) I am pleasantly surprised that they did so well. They were not nearly as hard to get on as the other splash pants I tried. So far I'm really happy with them!

by Sylvia the YakkerfromGreat Paddling PantsThese are easy to move around in. They fit snuggly at the waist and ankles but are roomy enough for layering. They kept me dry even when there was water on my seat. I did not use them mid summer but they were not too sticky in mid 80 degree weather. I love these!

by Cheryl The Canadian TravellerfromGreat paddling pants!I just got back from a 9-day paddling/hiking/camping trip deep in the Grand Canyon and these pants were great! Don't expect to be dry, though. Water does get through, especially if you are going through rapids or whenever big water splashes you -- but I don't think that any pants could hold up to that (16 people in our group, all had different brands of paddling pants on and NO ONE was dry). But these were warm!! And tough and really easy to get on and off. But warm when wet was what was most important. Colorado River was only 52-degrees Farenheit and all I was wearing was a pair of shorts under the paddling pants but they kept me warm. They even kept me warm when we took a dunk at Hermit Rapid and I was in the water for well over 10 minutes. When I wasn't wet and it was 80-degrees Farenheit outside, they didn't make me too hot, either. I never got the sticky feeling because they had great breathability. Would highly recommend!

by RD in WaterfordfromGreat PantsUsed/using them for Fall paddling around our lake worn with a pr of smart wool base layer, plenty warm. I'll wear them in the Spring as well when water is too cold for my liking. Small fit me fine and I'm 5'4".

by Kayak AmyfromSplash pants for womenI purchased these for cool weather, SOT recreational kayaking in Texas. I splash a lot when I paddle and end up sitting in a pool of water, which is no big deal when it's hot, but definitely a problem when it's cooler out. These pants kept me warm and dry in low 60's with just a pair of shorts underneath. My shorts did not get wet at all with these pants. I'm a petite woman with curves, so men's pants just won't work. I was happy to find a pair of women's pants that fit and look great. I was also able to take the pants on and off with my neoprene boots still on. I generally wear a size 10-12 and the medium was a good fit with plenty of room for a base layer and perhaps fleece pants for when it's colder.
