          I'm using this for daily bike commuting and occassional recreational road and mountain biking. The mount holds the camera securely enough but the strapping to the helmet is not very tight. At the first use, the straps stretched especially once sweat got to them, so they had to be retightened. The bouncing ruined the first video. The second run was much better. I'm going to look for a no-stretch, velcro strap. I'm only recommending this because there isn't a better alternative and the problem can be solved.

          [$] seems a little steep for this thing. It's certainly not a milestone in design or development. If you use it for mtn biking like I do, you won't be able to get the strap tight enough without breaking your helmet to hold the camera steady enough to enjoy watching the video for very long. For road biking I'm sure it's much better, but I'm not into that. If you can find one used or on clearance for around $15 that would be worth getting this mount but for [$], you could get or make your own more stable mount.

          I have two of these mounts for two helmets I use and believe these could have been designed better.

          A few problems with this mount: When the cam is in the up position and I'm riding over rough terrain on the mtb, the ContourHD cam will tilt forward to the center position where there's some play in the tilt mechanism.

          Aside from that, this mount is still a nice product. Its not like there's a mount for vented helmets available for the ContourHD anyway.

          I plan on using super glue to keep the tilt where I want it. I have no problem doing that since I'll have no reason to change the tilt angle in the future.

          I would certainly buy this mount again.
