        These long underwear are extremely short in the crotch area. They bring back memories of 'one size fits all' panty hose. They'll be down around your ankles in no time and definitely there is no leaning over without flashing your fellow hikers.

            Almost didn't order these based on previous comment, but glad I did. Found they fit great. Ordered up a size because I didn't want them tight, but they seem true to size. They are comfy and feel nice and warm. I'd recommend!

            I'm 6'0" and usually wear 22 or 2X bottoms. These (size 2X) are too short (have to pull them up to just under my calf) and the ankles are tight, so they constantly get pulled down.

            I like the low cut of the pant, as I'm short- waisted, but again they fall down easily creating constant baggy crotch which is uncomfortable.

            I would not try to hike or do other activities in these, but I bring them camping and backpacking to wear in my sleeping bag or around camp at night. Next time I'll buy running tights, I think. Something with way more stretch.

              I'm fairly happy with these long johns. The fit around is pretty true to size though I found them a little on the short side, though not unwearable. I'm tall enough that I'm used to that, but still. A lot of plus size people-- naturally enough--are tall! It would be good to have long johns that reflect that. They're also a little long in the rise; they do show over my pants. But not unwearable!

              I keep meaning to return them! These are terrible. The fit is just wrong. I am short 5'1''. They do not stay up around my waist basically because the rise is sooo low. I wore them for snowshoeing underneath a pair of snowpants thinking with all the layers they would stay up ok. Well let me tell you, not only did they fall down to somewhere between my hips and my kness....they then took my underwear with it. Wow, that is something to try and fix while out snowshoeing in the fridged cold! Soo, not one of REI's better products. I hate to complain since I sooooo appreciate the fact that REI makes and sells products for plus size woman!! Keep it up!

                It's hard to find plus-sized long underwear, especially if you're on the tall side. I'm really pleased with these! They're long enough (a problem with others I've tried) warm, comfortable, and not at all bulky. Very breathable too. not at all clammy unlike others I've worn.I bought them especially to wear under scrubs at work, and they're great for that. They do well under regular clothes too; my cross-country ski pants are much more wearable with these added.They seem to hold up well to washing and dryingMy one complain is that they're a little high in the rise. my pants tend to hit a little below my navel, and these are a little higher than that. most of my tops cover it, but still a little annoying.
