Comments about REI Midweight Polartec Power Dry V-Neck - Women's Plus Sizes:

I got this top a few months ago to wear around the house with flannel PJ bottoms. I got it a size bigger for some extra room so it wouldn't be too body hugging. It is very comfortable, warm and soft. It is a very nice weight--light enough to sleep in, but heavy enough to wear alone. I don't find it bulky. The fabric is less bulky and better looking, but just as warm, as the "mid-weight" items I have from 5-10 years ago. I've been wearing it with the PJs, but it didn't take long before I started wearing out of the house as a top, as a light "sweater" over a silk layer or tee and as an insulating under layer for cold weather activities. I love the V-neck. The top washes well in cold water and a low or hang dry, and hasn't snagged. I like it so much that I just ordered another one and got the zip-T as well.

Comments about REI Midweight Polartec Power Dry V-Neck - Women's Plus Sizes:

I'm 6'0' and usually wear a 2X. This top has a generous cut, which makes it comfortable for a mid layer but a bit too bulky for a base layer. The sleeves are too short for me.

I sometimes wear this over an XL short sleeve REI shirt of the same material (but thinner) and it works well for sunny hikes in the 40s. I mostly use this shirt as a dry change of clothes for camp and sleeping.

The fabric is warm for the weight, performs as intended, and seems durable, but I wish I'd gone with a Men's Smartwool base layer.
