Whether you're hiking, skiing, snowshoeing or nordic skiing, the men's tall REI Midweight Polartec® Power Dry® Zip-T can be worn alone or used as a performance base layer.

Polartec Power Dry utilizes 2 different yarns on either side of the fabric to enhance comfort: interior yarn wicks moisture, and exterior yarn dries quickly
Combination of the 2 yarns helps keep you dry during highly aerobic activities because it moves moisture away from skin faster than single-component fabrics such as cotton
Center front zipper allows ventilation control
Flatseam construction is soft and non-chafing next to skin, and seams are designed to work with pack straps at shoulders
Underarm and side gussets promote freedom of motion
Next-to-skin fit hugs the body, maintaining skin contact to boost fabric performance

I have two of the older version of this top -- they fit perfectly everywhere. I am 6'5" and only 180 lbs, so I was really excited to find that the Medium Tall fit so well in the old version. However, the new version with Polartec was made with sleeves that are the perfect length but are very baggy -- it's like the designer thought the tall, skinny guy wearing this size was going to have Popeye arms. I like the new fabric and would give this five stars if the sleeves weren't so baggy. Please fix this!

I use this as a half way nice shirt to wear when it is cool outside. I really appreciate that someone makes a proper fitting bit of clothing for a skinny tall guy. I did not have to compromise on fit of the torso to the length of the arm.
The only real downside I have seen to this shirt is that it snags easily on the velcro of my riding gloves or messenger bag and also if I have stubble on my neck. Either have a full beard or be clean shaven else it will drive you crazy after a while.

Perfect combination of polyester and lycra. Lightwieght and warm in most conditions. Absolutely the most comfortable shirt I've ever worn. The price is a little high since they don't seem to last long, they do seem to rip easily.
