    Comments about GORE RideOn Brake Cable Kit - Sealed Low Friction System:

    I installed this system in an attempt to increase the performance of the rear disc brake on my 2010 Novara Safari. Because of, among other things, the odd angle at which the brake cable exits the brake housing, it is forced into too sharp a bend to allow the cable to move freely through its housing. After making numerous brake component adjustments to no avail, I had resigned myself to having a rear brake that didn't function as well as the front. I soon after came across the Gore Ride-on sealed brake cable system and decided to give it a whirl as a last ditch effort. Although a little time consuming to get right, this system made all the difference! The rear brake now functions smoothly and powerfully, with the cable gliding through its liner and performing much like the front brake. The sealed nature of the system has also prevented light debris from affecting cable movement. I have used these on my commute to work for the last three months with no issues (35 miles/week). Highly recommend this system as an option for those having issues with brake performance. As a side note, Gore's technical support went well above and beyond expectations in assisting me with an installation issue I had.
