Comments about REI Pulaski Pants - Men's 34" Inseam:
After months of searching for the perfect rugged climbing pant, I settled for the REI Pulaski.
The material is thick and rugged yet soft. They don't have the "crispy" feeling that other rugged pants have (ie: Kuhl, MK, Carhartt).
Mind that you should get them sized up in the inseam length. They shrink more and more with each wash. Normally a 32/32 wearer, the legs shrunk up a good amount, almost 3 in. The waist shrunk a little bit, but wearing them a lot stretches them back out. I now own 32/34s and they have shrunk up just right.
Some stitching in the knee has also come out. It's single stitched, so time will tell if that really matters, hopefully they won't come apart on me.
Despite its shortcomings, I still really like them. I see them as an better looking and better performing Patagonia duck pant.

Comments about REI Pulaski Pants - Men's 34" Inseam:
The pants fit very nicely when purchased..comfortable. After 3 washings they have shrunk a little bit at the waist and a little bit in the inseam. Don't buy if you intend to modify the length as you lose the advantage of the reinforced heel area. It sounds as though 34 inseam is all thats left so they should really be on sale.

Comments about REI Pulaski Pants - Men's 34" Inseam:
I wanted to love these pants. They looked rugged and well built and the fit was perfect until I washed them. They shrank about 1/2 inch in the waist and 3/4 inch in the length. What a disappointment! Other than that major problem they were perfect. Come'on REI test your fabrics first.

Best Pants Ever !
Seriously.
I went out and bought another.
There's something about this 'articulated knee' that makes these pants really work for me.
personally - i hate pants, ill wear shorts on the weekends than wear pants but these are better than any pair of jeans ive ever owned.

Comments about REI Pulaski Pants - Men's 34" Inseam:
I use these as my everyday around campus and town pants. They fit great at first and are very comfortable, but as others have noted, there are a few flaws. W/o washing them, they were fine. After washing and drying on lowest possible settings, they lost a solid inch in length and waist. In addition, I've noticed accelerated wear in the inseam. I'm at the point where I'm just not washing them at all so I can keep wearing them.
