Comments about Outdoor Research PL 400 Gloves - Men's:
For a recent photography expedition to Antarctica, I brought three pairs of glove "liners" with me. The only pair that kept my hands warm while allowing me to manipulate the controls on my cameras (Pro DSLRs) was this model. They resisted light rain / snow reasonably well, but I typically used a pair of OR's waterproof shell mittens on top of these when in the most extreme conditions (e.g., cutting through waves on Zodiac boats). Wind resistance and insulation was excellent. Highly recommended.

Comments about Outdoor Research PL 400 Gloves - Men's:
I was looking for a pair of gloves to replace my bulky wind-stopper fleece ones that I was using for running, road biking, and XC Skiing. I was worried that because they weren't wind-stopper that they wouldn't be warm enough, and man was I wrong. When you get moving these gloves let your hands breathe and they wick moisture away, keeping you warm and dry without the bulk. Haven't run into temperatures yet where my hands got cold.

Comments about Outdoor Research PL 400 Gloves - Men's:
After only a few uses, the rubberized grips have started peeling. At first, it was only thin layers of the grips that were peeling, then entire rubber pads started detaching from the fabric. They were detaching on the railing of stairs, my steering wheel, and while playing with my kids. My wife also had a pair with the same result - she exchanged them for mittens in a similar design with the same result. While they are warm and fit nicely, the grips leave something to be desired.

Comments about Outdoor Research PL 400 Gloves - Men's:
Was jogging and saw a lone left hand OR PL-400 (though I didn't know that was its name at the time) glove lying in the road. Picked it up and tried it on for kicks. OMGosh! It was warm and fit like....well like a glove! I was so impressed due to its lack of bulk, but it still seemed warm. Figured I could get to my keys and wallet WITHOUT TAKING MY GLOVES OFF! I just ordered a pair and plan to use them as "car gloves." So here I am writing a review of a pair of gloves I've never actually even owned, but I'm really looking forward to having them. If ONE lost lefty glove can make me do this, imagine how I'll feel when I have a righty to match as well! I plan to write another review once I get 'em and wear 'em in the Wisconsin cold. Stay tuned....
