I almost returned this because it was TOO comfy! Wearing this made me not want to do anything but sit around and drink hot cocoa! This thing is extremely warm, but can also function as a stylish outerlayer in the fall or spring.

In typical North Face fashion, the sizing is almost too accurate. I ordered the small, and it fits me perfectly, but just so. Any smaller and it would be have been too small. If you are on the cusp between small and medium, definitely order the medium.

Received this a gift from my girlfriend, and man im glad i did. At 1st I was a little turned off by the slightly turned up mock neck, but once i wore it in damp, cold pacific NW weather i fell in love. This piece strikes me more as a great fit for people that actually do work outside, as opposed to people who would only wear it on the street- it has a sort of "Montana-esque" feel to it. The weight feels like it will be very durable & tough w/o a lot of excess bulk. I am 5'9, 175 and the medium fits awesome with room for another thin layer below. I got the dune beige heather, it a great color that looks to me to have a spot of green in the mix, making it a little more interesting than your normal beigey things. Highly recommended if you need a tough layering piece...

As someone who is used to the Urban Outfitters brand of style, it's tough for me to find casualwear that I like at REI. But when I do, as in the case of this sweater, it's glorious. The Lyons crew has a laid-back, hip, almost yoga-esque style to it, and in heather grey it's timeless. Ooh wee, the soft fleece inside feels so good! Amazing warmth to weight ratio. Going back to UO, I resent buying clothes there; man, they fall apart in six months. The North Face is a brand I can trust, and I look forward to this piece becoming a favorite for years to come. Protip: skip the dryer– air dry.
