Comments about REI Activestretch Pants - Women's Petite:
These pants are soft, but not sure how much different they are from a pair of sweatpants. I just ran in a light rain, and I guess they kept my legs dryer than sweats would have, but still hard to justify the cost. Nothing particularly flattering about the style. They are very relaxed fit. I'm short (5'1") and the petite are too short for my liking - barely hitting the top of my shoes when I wear them low on my waist. And the way the crotch is sewn makes the material do things there that are not attractive.

Comments about REI Activestretch Pants - Women's Petite:
This is the second style of REI brand pants that I've recently discovered that fit very well on a petite frame. I had to slightly alter the length (I'm only 5' tall) but everything else fit perfectly. No longer did I feel like I was wearing granny style high-rise pants! Thanks for making such a great pair of pants!

Comments about REI Activestretch Pants - Women's Petite:
I wore out a pair of NF pants that were very similar to these so I thought I'd try the REI ones. Living in the mountains, I use these pants to hike or walk in cold weather and snow - pretty much my go-to pants in the winter when it's NOT snowing.
They are as soft and warm as the NF equivalent. I plan to use them for snow shoeing or xcountry skiing in good weather as I did my NF pants.
The pants are extremely comfortable. The only reason they did not get 5 stars is the fit. They are not as flattering as the NF pants, and they do run a little big. (Although I'd argue that NF pants run small!) The petite length option is a fantastic plus, as my other pants are perpetually wearing out around the ankle. I'd say these pants are PERFECT if you have a more curvy figure.

Comments about REI Activestretch Pants - Women's Petite:
I am large for my short height (5' 3") and a little chubbier than in my youth, but not obese by any means. I must always buy clothes that are miles too long to go around my body. The petite XL in these is just the right length and fits! These pants are so comfortable, I hardly know that I have them on. I use them for hiking, walking and casual wear around town, in temps ranging from 40 to 50 degrees (that's what goes for cold in San Jose) My knees are shot, so I can't run anymore, but I cycle, swim and hike. I chose "avid athlete" to reflect my activity level b/c there wasn't a category that really applied to me. In short, npi, I couldn't be more satisfied with these pants and I would recommend them to a friend who is built like me.
