Comments about Gregory Jade 60 Women's Pack - '09 Closeout:
Everything about this pack is great. I originally used a very minimalist Marmot and was quite happy with it. When I upgraded my DSLR camera for my photography, I wanted to upgrade to a pack that would have enough room for a rainy day. Now that I have this pack, I wonder how I ever did 6 day trips with my old one. This pack most pleasantly surprised me for it's quality in fit, form and function. The slightly curved frame provides enough breathing room without restricting packing. The lumbar support and hip belt evenly distribute weight and do not pinch at all. The easy-cinch belt, weather-sealed zippers, and straps on the bottom of this pack seal the deal. This pack is supportive and I doubt I will ever buy another pack again. Buy it when it's on sale! This is a total steal.

Comments about Gregory Jade 60 Women's Pack - '09 Closeout:
I love this pack! I already had a gregory, which was heavier and loved that one because of comfort, but it was just too heavy. When I saw this one, I couldn't pass it up, good price, light weight, and same comfort. I had just bought an Osprey day pack and didn't like the fit, so I returned it and saw this. I've used it for 3-4 day backpacking trips here and on Na Pali Coast in Hawaii, it's proved itself well. I use it for traveling as well, especially since they charge you for luggage, I can fit everything in it that I need and it expands if you need to bring back extra stuff. The zippers work great, I've been able to get all I need in it for backpacking (clothes, shared tent, stove, pad, food, etc.) It has lots of straps to strap on your pad, extra sandles, poles, nalgene, whatever. The side pocket helps you get in when you need to, nice feature. (my other gregory has a zipper at the bottom, which is even nicer). I've had it for 3 years now and there is no wear on it. I haven't been in really wet conditions in it, so I don't know how much it holds water out, but I've been in light rain and it's been fine, my stuff stayed dry. It can really only hold about 40 lbs though, so if you're planning on packing heavier, look into a different pack. Overall good buy, comfortable, and light weight!

Comments about Gregory Jade 60 Women's Pack - '09 Closeout:
This pack is amazingly comfortable, the suspension and adjustability are better than any other pack I've used. In the past my biggest issues have been the shoulder straps and chest belt. On this pack the shoulder straps curve a little more than normal in some spots to fallow a woman's anatomy and the placement of the chest strap is adjustable; it slides up or down the shoulder straps with a little initiation. I also love the new horseshoe pocket which makes it easy to grab you sleeping bag without taking everything else out of your pack. Brilliant.
