Comments about Surftech Laird Pearson Arrow 11' 0" Stand Up Paddleboard:
This SUP delivered the versatile performance that was advertised. My athletic adult daughters with advance SUP skills and me with intermediate SUP skills use the 11' board in small Oregon surf/ocean swells and flat Utah lake waters with ease. Our heights only differ by about 4" so we share a 82" Surftech Ventana paddle for flatwater and use a 75" Carlisle Taboo paddle for surf SUPing. Also, I recommend applying a paddle guard kit around the paddle blade edge to protect your legs/feet and SUP rails from hazardous paddle impacts that will happen in flatwater and surf conditions.
Service and delivery comments:
Product was ordered through REI website and delivered as scheduled to REI store in excellent condition. Customer service assisted with recycling packing materials.

Comments about Surftech Laird Pearson Arrow 11' 0" Stand Up Paddleboard:
Took this board out for the first time last weekend. Paddled it about 7 miles in flatwater and it tracks well for it's size, may feel a little tippy to beginners, but more stable than I expected with the low volume, though water does roll over the rails quite a bit (I weigh ~185). Had it in high winds and heavy chop and it could still push up wind, the nose is pretty flat so it doesn't catch wind as much as my wife's Naish Nalu. Can't wait to try it in the surf.
REI hasn't updated the site yet, but mine was the new 2011 model and has 5 fin slots! Comes with 5 surf based fins, for a quad or tri-fin setup. Center fin is a bit on the small side and I would recommend getting and running a single, bigger fin when paddling for distance and not surfing.
I would recommend for someone with prior surfing or SUP experience looking for an all around board but who leans more toward surfing.
