In less than 5 minutes of wear by my children, the poncho started ripping at the neck! I was shocked to find these of poor quality from REI - very disappointing. I am returning these and I hope no one will waste time and money.

We brought two of these along to Disneyland this year because the forecast involved a LOT of rain. Initially these were great. They are a nice thicker material in comparison to other ponchos and they looked nice (as far as a poncho can). The problem is at the V in the neck, both started with a small tear, but then the tear spread down the whole front. If that design problem where fixed, they'd be great. Until then, they are a mostly one or two use product. At this price, though, I suppose they are still better than other ponchos, which are thinner and also rip.
