Comments about Gerber Iris Flashlight:
Best value for an LED flashlight anywhere. It out classes flashlights costing twice as much. I am using the origial batteries that came with the light. Still working like new after lots of use and more than a year of service. Yes, it's not made from machined aluminum. But that just means it's lightweight. Tailcap switch is large and sensitive. Just what you need. Light is adjustable and bright. Best flashlight I've ever owned. I've owned a dozen or so. If I lost it I'd buy it again. I might buy another just in case they stop making it. Skip the other Gerber lights. You don't need aluminum. That's just HYPE. You want what works, and this baby works great!

Comments about Gerber Iris Flashlight:
This flashlight is relatively light weight and has a nice textured finish to it. Yes, there are several long and narrow protrusions from the shaft that are visible in the picture - but what you can't see is the actual finish. It's like a very gentle, fine grit of sandpaper and feels very nice in the hand. You're unlikely to have this light slip out of your hand!
The beam adjusts from a spotlight to a wide angle by twisting the head and is quite bright to boot! The beam lighting is uniform at all settings.
While I haven't used any of the more expensive brands of LED lights, I think this is quite a deal for the price.
My only complaint is that the push button on the bottom doesn't "click" as firmly as I'm used to. But make no mistake, I've never had it fail to engage when I pushed it - it work's perfectly.

Comments about Gerber Iris Flashlight:
I bought this flash light a few months back. I use it nearly everyday at work, crawling around attics, looking under vehicles, or just working at night. I am very pleased with the adjustable beam, the output of the beam, and the battery life. The only issue on the flashlight is there is not High/Low, and I bought it months ago and 2 weeks ago I saw it on sale. :(
