Simply stated, you will not find a better pair of sunglasses. The optics on Maui Jims with the glass lens is hands down the best in the industry. The price is pretty steep to acquire a pair of these awesome shades but they are worth every penny. My last pair lasted well over ten years until I finally smashed them by accident. Once you put them on in bright sun, snow or especially on the water, you will know the difference between the Maui Jim brand and all the others who just don't measure up. I encourage you to spend that extra 50-100 bucks, step up to the glass lens polarized bronze lens and you will LOVE your new shades for many years. You will also know the difference in the quality of the materials and design work in the frames. As a skier my frames take a beating as I put my helmet on and other impacts and adjustments often in freezing temps. The spring hinges on the Maui Jims make them supple and flexible. I was actually pretty surprised when I broke my last pair but it was only I was really careless and left them in my messenger bag with the glasses unprotected. Prior to that the shades had endured countless shots and stessors that would have snapped most other brands. So if you want durability and the finest optics money can buy, the Maui Jim brand is the way to go. Best shades ever!

I bought my first pair of Maui Jims in Maui, HI about 10 years ago. They lasted for 5 years until they fell off my head and to the bottom of the Francis Drake Channel somewhere. After that I tried a couple of other high end brands but none of them could hold a candle to the clarity and quality of Maui Jim's.

The frames are strong, flexible and feel great ... you forget you are wearing them. The Peahi's offer great wrap around protection. I have a large melon of a head and these things fit and look great on me. They cover my eye;s completely, sit well on my face, don't squeeze my tmeples ... It doesn't look like I am wearing a pair of kids sunglasses.

I wear these fishing, boating and driving and they are great. I have dunked them in the salt water many times and they look as good as the day I got them. The hinges are showing no signs of rust.

The lenses are as advertised. They really do make a difference in cutting glare and improving calrity. Its like looking at the world in HD.

Don't waste your time or money on other brands ... they don't compare.
