- Butterfly™ Back System uses a lightweight, ergonomically-shaped aluminum frame to distribute weight between pack, hipbelt and shoulder harness
- Butterfly suspension system flexes to allow a climber's back to rotate easily
- Molded back panel wicks away perspiration and vents excess body heat
- Padded hipbelt distributes load to improve balance, and it can be removed when using a climbing harness with the pack
- Hydration-compatible design features a reservoir sleeve with hanging tabs and a sip-tube exit port for on-the-go hydration (reservoir sold separately)
- 2 lid pockets with water-resistant zippers stash a headlamp, maps, batteries and other small essentials
- Durable and strong Hypalon® exoskeleton lets you lash on crampons or other sharp winter gear

Comments about Mammut Ice Technical Pack - 45 Liters - '09 Closeout:
I have used this pack for many trips: Technical climbs, snow climbs, overnights, and multi-night trips. This is a solid pack. the two top pockets are large enough for water, food, gear or whaterver you need. this pack also has wonderful lumbar support.
The only downside would be the shoulder straps get painful under very heavy loads. but the nice thing about the size(45L)is that its hard to make it to heavy.
