I was expecting to be able to use the floor stand to effectively keep my bikes upright, stable, and accessible. But nothing could be further from the truth. The stand is very sensitive to the width of the tire and the tire must fit very snuggly to have a chance of keeping the bike upright - especially heavier ones. The stand must be adjusted for a specific tire width. You can't use the same stand to park both a mountain bike and a road bike without major adjustments. It doesn't take much of a disturbance to cause any bike to tip over with the front tire firmly wedged in the stand. And it's difficult to pull the tire out of the stand since it has to fit so tightly. DO NOT BUY this piece of junk!!!!!!

I ignored the reviews on this one because the price was so good. Mistake. This thing does not hold a bike well at all and switching from a mountain bike to road on it is not easy without building the thing up again. I'll sometimes put a bike in it and several minutes later hear the bike crash on the ground.

The rack was a pain to assemble, and can't really accommodate two bikes in a reasonable amount of space. Totally useless.

I read some other reviews before purchasing this for my mountain bike and was a little worried.

Bottom line is for the price you can't beat it. It holds my mountain bike upright in the garage which is great because I didn't want a kickstand.

The velcro is a little odd but with some minor adjustments (use a zip tie) it works great.

I don't know who engineered this but, your bike would do better resting against the garage wall. The rack is held together by an adjustable piece of velcro. The adjustments wont hold a mtb or, road tire. Flimsy junk- not worth picking it out of someone's trash. Took this thing right back still assembled.

I park my bike along the wall in my garage, and using this helps keep it there without worrying about it falling over or rolling out of place, but I have to lean it against the wall to keep it upright. It still helps because I can store it at less of an angle than I could if it were standing on its own so it saves room in that regard. When I had my studded tires on for the winter it could hold my bike up freestanding, but with my summer tires on it can't. (Even with the winter tires I had to balance it just right) The main problem is that it's only adjustable in inch increments, so tire sizes in between don't fit very well. So this can work fine, depending on the bike and the tires.

This is great for a small road bike. I have a 43cm road bike and it holds it perfectly. While my bike is extremely light, I often have my helmet and other things hanging on either side of the handle bars. I have never even had as much as a tilt from the bike but I do use it on the smallest setting. I think the key here is to use it with a light weight road bike and you are good to go. Putting the frame together is super easy and took all of three minutes to screw together. Overall - great find.

Bicycle tires come in a bewildering variety of sizes, and this stand will work only for road bike tires, and perhaps with very light mountain bikes.

We have two hybrid bikes, one with a somewhat standard 38mm hybrid tires; one with thicker hybrid tire; and a standard mountain bike.

Both hybrid tire had to be forced into the smallest stand width to the point that the stand was severely squishing the tire, especially the non-standard hybrid tire. One has to hold down the stand and struggle the bike out of it; not convenient.

The next width setting had several centimeters on either side of both hybrid tires, and did not support the bike.

There are velcro strapts whose function is seemingly to squeeze the two walls of the stand together to accomodate an in-between tire size, but it doesn't work in practice, since only the front of the rack is squeezed, and the bike isn't supported with that modification alone.

The rack works on road bike tires well, and 38mm hybrid tires with some difficulty. It didn't hold a standard mountain bike at all because of the bike's weight, regardless of the fit of the tire.

Pros: Packaged well and easy to put together as there are only 4 nuts and washers to be tightened. The Rubber feet prevent floor scuffing and stops the bike from sliding. The all metal design seems strong and stable but I am only using it for a road bike. There is an adjustment for larger tires, it looks like it will hold a good 3 incher. Am going to order a second one.

Not So Cons: I am not sure how stable this will be if a 40 plus pound mountain bike was placed in it, but as long as you are not bumping into it, the bike should remain upright.
