    The REI Member Dividend

            Comments about REI Canvas Leather Belt:

            The description says size L measures 36 in. from where buckle meets the belt - it's actually more like 43 inches. Also, the belt material is not leather/canvas, it's a synthetic backing with leather and canvas facing; not as flexible as leather.

              I wear this belt everyday, even at work. I do not work in an office, so I did not select that option. I have bought a replacement for my first, which has plenty of life left. Get one!

              I bought the belt for work. It lasted roughly two months of daily use (in an office, on airplanes, at home, etc - not out in the field) before the metal pin (part of the buckle) to which the belt tooth attached sheared off. In all other respects this is a great belt. Comfortable and stylish. The canvas parts appeared durable but the metal selected for the buckle and tooth are of inferior quality. If REI changed that out, I'd give it a 3 or 4 star rating.

              Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
