I had recently bought an older Black Diamond harness. It was very uncomfortable. Black Diamond's new harness' are less bulky and more comfortable. The harness is easily adjustable. I tied the leg loops together so if I have to pop a squat on the mountain I don't have to grab both straps.

I have a perpetual size issue with harnesses; just my body. Once I got this to fit I have been impressed. I had the Momentum AL pryor and would occasionally get, well...some "gear" stuck in a bad spot. This harness is made better and the core construction keeps the loops and belt where you snug them better. No more issues in a fall or on a rap. I have carried a leader rack on this and the loops are perfect. I have not used this on ice yet. I have checked out how the ice clippers fit and they look to be really in the right spot. I tend I use a Alpine BOD for ice but I will give this a go this season...could it really be ? One harness for rock and ice...man I hope so.

This is a great harness that works for most things. But because it only has one adjustment waist buckle (on the left) tightening it shifts all your gear around. So if you're planning on wearing tons of layers one day and climbing in the heat later on it's best to pick the fit that works best.

Still, if you dial in the fit, you love this high end harness at a good mid price point.

This is my first harness, and I have absolutely no complaints. I'm a 32 waist, and followed the sizing chart, and although I was debating getting the larger size, I'm glad I didn't because it's perfect and true to size. I'm glad I spent a bit more $$ over the lower-end BD harness, because this one is easier to adjust (no double backing necessary) and there's a bit more padding. I climb 3-4 times per week and it seems to be holding up well.

It not to bad on comfort. I was re-rocking a wall and it did pretty well for a extend time under full weight. but did notice a little circulation issues on my legs, not to the point of any safety issues.
Over all it is very nice. I would get another, and I like it a lot. The quick adjust work well, and i love the Tow loop on the back. I use it often for Belay of heavy climbers, Clip a binder on back of tow Loop to a back / ballast. Utility work very well for carrying items They are far enough back to keep stuff out of the way but not so far that anything is hard to reach.

I bought this harness sometime in July 2010 and I used it for ice/rock climbing on weekends and on trips. In just a few months, the retainer strap below the lower tie-in point has ripped partially. As a result whenever I take a fall or when I get lowered off, I'll find the rope stuck on the side of the lower tie-in point beyond the toughened layer. BlackDiamond should address this design flaw. Also, the leg loops tend to get loose and needs to be pulled tight regularly. I'll have to change harness soon.
