      Bought these for everyday use under Merrell barefoot shoes (needed warm but thin socks) for winter. I wear a 12 (45 EU) size shoe and the packaging said I should buy an XL so that's what I did. They were HUGE and the heel part of the sock went way up my ankle. Really uncomfortable. They say the XL fits 10+ in men's, which seems ridiculous. I returned them for a large. I've now got 5 pairs so it wasn't a fluke -- I spent time in the store comparing sizes and so on to make sure something wasn't mislabeled. So great sock but be really careful about the sizing. I don't know who can wear the XLs other than folks with HUGE feet!
