The Scott Scale 29er hardtail mountain is a quick, nimble and stable platform made all the better with its large 29 in. wheels that gobble up terrain with smooth performance and momentum.

Hydroformed 7005 aluminum frame is lightweight and stiff, maximizing efficiency in the climbs and remaining responsive in the descents
RockShox Reba SL fork supplies 100mm of air-sprung suspension and features both remote lockout and rebound adjustment; alloy steerer offers weight savings
All-Shimano drivetrain features an XT rear derailleur and Deore shifters for snappy shifts through the 27 gears

Comments about Scott Scale 29er Bike - 2010:

I love this bike. I'm in my third year of intense mountain biking and love it. This is my third bike--upgrading each year. I'm sold on hardtails...don't know why.

I can fly on this bike. I have no problem making swithchbacks (I thought that I might with the larger wheels), smooth and easy up the hills, and fly on the downhills. My confidence is through the roof on this bike.

I am 5'8, 32 inch inseam, 160 lbs and got the Medium frame and it fits like a glove. I am one with this bike.

One thing to be aware of (I was not until I placed my online order).....not all REI stores are Scott dealers. Therefore, I had to travel to a further REI store to pick this up, and probably will have to bring it back there for the free tune.... Oh, well it was worth it for this bike.
