I really like the functions of the watch, and the watch face itself holds up well.

However, I have purchased three of these watches in the past three years, and the watch strap has ALWAYS broken after about 10 months. As much as I enjoy the functions, I recommend going with a different brand or watch brand if you are an active person. I know I'm giving up on this model.

I bought this watch for daily use and it did just that. Some people say the strap breaks, but mine is fine. I use this watch for school, running, swimming, biking, hiking, sailing, and just about any other physical activity. This watch is small and compact, so as a result when you record your lap you can not see the overall time. People who complain about how long the strap lasts should realize that it is well priced. the only large problem for me is that the inglo light didnt work after about seven months so i guess the battery life is short.

I've had only a few Timex watches over the years because they last so long. This one is great as far as the watch functions go. Just as good as any other Timex I've had. But the strap is not strong. Particularly, the little thing that you tuck the excess strap into. They break and you cannot easily find a replacement strap. For the price of a new strap, you might as well just spend a bit more and get a whole new watch. I replaced my first one, thinking it was a fluke, but it broke too. Both after about 6 months.

Bought one and it worked fine for running, swimming, biking, daily use. Then the strap broke after about 6 months. Could not find a replacement. Was given another watch and after just a few months the strap broke. I won't buy this watch again.

I love Timex watches. The functions are always just enough things that you need and use regularly like the timer and chronometer, and rarely too much you wouldn't want.

I shower in my watch and almost never take it off. I bought this current one after the strap broke on my last one a year ago. Right now the rubber strap on this has a growing tear that will disable band within a few weeks. The strap-holding loop, also rubber, broke off a month ago.

I'm not particularly hard on these watches, but normal wear always breaks the rubber straps, and the velcro ones eventually develop an odor from regular water-contact. Buy a Timex that can take a replaceable strap. This isn't it.

I had the predecessor to this watch for over 10 years and changed the battery only once. Did have to replace the band several times though, no biggy. Bought this one because water did get into the old one making it hard to read. Had this one for almost 5 years with no problem. Use it daily and on the track for intervals. Lap/split function is very easy to use for this purpose so I can refer back to the times at a later time.

I feel compelled to write a positive review of this watch after having read the other reviews. I had this watch for 4 years and never once had a problem with the strap, moisture seepage, or the glass face. This watch proved durable through many an activity. I also liked the slightly smaller face than some other Timex Ironman watches. I'm buying a new one only because I left mine on a plane.

I have bought this same watch for years now and am probably on my 4th or 5th one. However, this summer the strap broke when I was rafting. Not a big deal as it caught on the raft pretty hard and came flying off. Probably would happen to many similar watches. I bought a replacement a few weeks ago and the strap on this watch broke again, but this time with hardly any pulling at all. I can't re-attach the strap so will have to return it. I am hesitant to buy another one after hearing this happened to others.

I've had several Timex Ironman watches over the years and this is the first to give me a problem. Watch was just a month or two old, I wore it everyday for work and outdoor activities. I normally shower with these watches (water resistant), but this last one couldn't take it. I started getting moisture in the watch. I disassembled it, let it dry for a couple of days, but to no avail the moisture returned. I took it apart again, swabbed everything in 90% alcohol and bagged it in rice for a couple of weeks. Put it back together and problem reappeared two days later.Love the size and function of this watch. At the price I paid ([$]), I may give it another go around. It's just disappointing I couldn't get more than a couple of months out of this one.I might buy another, but I wouldn't recommend one to my friends.
