The moment this jacket arrived and I tried it on, I knew it was going straight back to REI. The fit is horrible and the jacket feels too thin and poorly constructed. I had high hopes for this jacket, but once I put it on, I was severely disappointed. The pockets are small and without zippers, the fit has a very obvious un-tailored look to it and is a bit boxy, and for a fleece jacket it is too thin. After returning this jacket, I bought the (unfortunately much more expensive) Patagonia sweater fleece and I absolutely love it. This is a jacket that's better to try on in store than to buy online.

Great value, especially at the current sale price. It is exactly as described by REI ...use it as an outer layer in the Spring and Fall and layer it under your winter coat in the cold winter. Very comfortable...soft and not to heavy. I have asked for another for Christmas.

This is a comfy fleece jacket. The only real problems I have are these:
(1) The zippers aren't great. REI should substitute these plastic ones for some heavier duty ones. The plastic zippers also pucker.
(2) The inner pockets are poorly designed. They are way too deep and they also make the front of the jacket look poofy. I think they should just take them out altogether.
Bottom Line: It's a good jacket for the price. If a Mountain Hardware fleece jacket went on sale though, I'd definitely choose that one over this one at regular price.

Bought along with the matching pants. Good fit, slightly oversize I think but probably designed that way. Great for cool mornings here in FL, where it might be in the high 30's in the AM but 65* by lunch. Light and trim, not bulky like most fleece. Good value when on sale, If full price be sure to look at other options, though.

I bought this fleece when it was on sale last winter. Love it. It fits great with great tapering down the forearm and a snug but not tight fit. Just warm enough for temps down to the 40s/50s. And, as a bonus, it zips into my REI winter jacket. Nice!
