The Burley Cub is an extra-durable bike trailer that will carry 1 or 2 children. With its slightly heavy plastic bucket base, this trailer is the definition of sturdy and is ideal for any terrain.

So kick it, get it dirty or have a party inside because it's virtually indestructible; the Burley Cub is even tantrum-proof should your passenger miss a nap!
Interior space is slighty larger than the Burley d'lite trailer and it offers a generous 50 liters of enclosed storage area for parents' gear or daypacks
Plastic bucket base can be easily hosed out; heavy-duty wheel guards protect children
Shock-damping elastomer suspension makes the ride comfortable
Includes a reclining seat back for napping children; interior pockets stash kid treasures
Anti-dive seat pad and seat divider help each child sit comfortably in trailer; pads are removable and washable

The Cub is a really good product with only a couple of design flaws that prevent it from being a five star rating. Overall the quality is excellent. The reclining seat feature is very helpful, and the configuration and spaciousness make it a useful, versatile trailer. Compared with a cloth floor trailer, it is much better at protecting a child from the elements and will be much more durable. It tracks beautifully, is very well balanced, corners easily, and from what our daughter says, rides well. The roll bar / cage is extremely well designed and is both safe and extremely easy to collapse for storage or transport. The materials (except one item listed below) are first rate.

Three minor complaints - The black fabric and floor/bucket heat up in the sun - a lighter color such as gray or a bright color like safety orange, yellow or green would have been better and safer. The front fabric flap does not secure easily when rolled up - easily fixed with a couple of sewn on velcro strips. The tire tubes are fragile and should be replaced on receipt with thorn proof tubes.

Other than those three things it's great and a product I would recommend to anyone who wants a very high quality trailer for their kids.

The associate has shared with me that the jogging kit for the Burley Cub 2009 is only available in Europe as of today. If you intend to use this as a jogger this will not accommodate your needs. Check out my blog for a full review at [@]

The Cub for us was a good decision; I am glad we waited for a new version with well thought out safety features. [...]Putting it together was pretty self explanatory with a little common sense. The manual is a waste of paper, not much detail there so it might annoy some. The features are great, this is one well-made trailer. Well worth the money.
