Comments about Topeak TrolleyTote Folding MTX Rear Bicycle Basket:
I got this basket for short trips to the grocery store. I love it! it is so stable, but of course you have to get the compatible bike rack to slide it on. It goes on and off quickly. No wobble. When I get to the store, I slide it off and use it as my shopping cart, that way I know it will fit in the basket. Well built. A bit pricey though, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. Also, would have liked a rain hood

Comments about Topeak TrolleyTote Folding MTX Rear Bicycle Basket:
I have a pretty light bike (Cannondale Quick 4) and this basket tends to outweigh the bike if it's holding a few groceries. Panniers might be a better choice to balance out the weight. (Unfortunately, the Topeak panniers sound pretty cheap and of poor quality). This basket is a very utilitarian piece as we've used it on road trips to haul stuff and also on the back of our bikes. There are 2 "clips" that slide on the sides which keeps it from folding into the collapsed position. You need to keep track of these suckers. They tend to come loose pretty easily.

Comments about Topeak TrolleyTote Folding MTX Rear Bicycle Basket:
My wife and I love this Trolley. It is the cutest little foldable trolley around.
We returned the Topeak MTX Basket Rear because the edge of the basket is a bit high and it butts up right next to the seat so our butt was constantly in contact with the basket which was a bit annoying. The trolley sits a few inches away from the seat and during our ride, the cart has enough clearance from our butt while riding.
We really appreciate the well thought out design and aesthetics of this cart. First off the telescoping handle is very smooth. Once the handle is pulled all the way up it locks in place nicely. Problem is when you collapse the telescoping handle back down it does not lock in place so you won't be able to carry the folding trolley with it's handle (a minor design flaw that I hope will be revised on the next generation). The folding and expanding of the cart is beautifully engineered to perfection. the plastic used feels very sturdy and there are two additional items inside the walls of the cart that allows you to strengthen the cart once it is fully open. On the two opposing folding walls, there is a yellow sliding locking mechanism which will slide to lock both wall panel to prevent accidental folding of the wall. There are also two removable 4 inches caps that you can lock the tops of the same opposing folding wall's rim to keep it's sturdy structure nice and rigid. The wheels are very smooth. One other design oversight that would be great to implement on the next generation is having the proper size holes on the bottom part of the 4 walls to accommodate the cargo net hooks for a quick and easy hook and release. At the moment the cargo net hooks is a bit tedious to latch onto the cart but it's not a deal breaker. Despite the minor design flaws, I would still purchase this cart because it is the best cart available on the the market working with the quick release rack for our frequent trips to the local grocery store and farmers market. On my recent grocery trip to Fresh and Easy, I was able to fit 4 bags of carrots, 2 bags of celeries, a bag onions, and my bike lock nicely.
