Comments about Osprey Raptor 10 Hydration Pack - M/L - 100 fl. oz.:
I've been an Osprey backpack fan for some time. Using a Kestral 48 for minimalist back-country weekends and an Aether 60 for longer hikes. I was thrilled when I saw that Osprey now had a cycling hydration pack!
You can't beat Osprey when it comes to construction, value, adjustability, and cool extras. They didn't disappoint with this pack. I have a Haro Flightline moutain bike that serves multiple purposes: Commuter, urban, touring, and trail. The pack is great for all uses.
PROS:
Comfortable for all uses, whether you're riding only 5 miles or 70. The back panel offered great support and ventilation. Shoulder straps adjusted easily and did not strain or dig in. The water res is shaped an stiffened so the pack doesn't deform when res is full! A bonus is that water stays cold for a fairly long time even in 90-100 degree weather. Don't know if this holds true in the dark colored pack.
One of the few packs out there with a bright color option (Sand Gold). This has always been a pet peeve of mine. I live in a city with no bike trails or lanes, and not much bicycle awareness. Seems most cycling gear is dark or muted in color. While this is stylish, it's not very safe.
Great organization. Hip pockets for your gels and bars. Small pocket on top for your wallet and first-aid kit. Main compartment is roomy and has 3 pouches for tubes and other gear. Side pocket with clip for your keys and room for sundry other items. Mesh pocket on the back that is great for all your wet weather gear. Main compartment is fairly water resistant.
Great extras. Loop handles on the zippers instead of tabs make it easy to open even with sweaty fingers. Tab on the back for attaching your helmet on the outside of pack. Best feature in my opinion is the magnet attachment for keeping your bite valve from flopping around.
CONS: I can only think of 2.
The hip pockets have no way of keeping them closed. The elastic is good enough to keep your gels in while riding, but not good enough when you get off the bike or bend down. Easily fixed with some velcro tabs.
The drinking tube only comes over the right shoulder, there is no opening on the left.
Water res doesn't have a quick connect so you can't take it out of the pack without hauling out the tube as well. Katadyn has a quick connect kit that you can splice into your drinking tube to fix that.
In conclusion: It's the best pack out there and doesn't break the bank.

Comments about Osprey Raptor 10 Hydration Pack - M/L - 100 fl. oz.:
This is a quality pack, and my only issue is that the rigid and somewhat bulky hydration bladder makes it hard to make effective use of the full 10 liter capacity. That being said, I really like the bladder and wouldn't change a thing about it. I have two Camelbacks and won't buy another one after using this Nalgene designed bladder.
But it wasn't apparent to me in the store how much the bladder intrudes on the interior of the pack. It also seems to fight the natural shape of the pack and makes if very difficult to reach down to the bottom of the pack. The main compartment pinches in in the middle and flares back out at the bottom like a coke bottle. It's also kind of silly to have compression straps near the bottom of the pack. This squeezes the load to the top of the pack where it negatively affect stability.
In short, I liked the pack enough that I'm only exchanging it for a larger pack of the same design, not a different pack altogether. My advice is to err on the side of getting a larger pack if you're torn between sizes.

Comments about Osprey Raptor 10 Hydration Pack - M/L - 100 fl. oz.:
Living in Las Vegas it's essential to be able to carry lots of water, however I never bothered with Camelbaks much because I never liked the fit and also because I prefer to be able to see how much I have left in a bottle to ration my intake properly. Planning an 80 mile cycle road I spotted this in my local REI and as I use other Osprey packs thought I'd give it a try. The fit is extremely comfortable and the pack meets my needs exactly - carrying 3 litres of fluids and being able to fit a lightweight jacket, food, tools etc, no problem. In fact the 6L version would have been fine if it weren't for the 2L hydration. Plenty of pockets and well organized, even while full this didn't roll around on my back like a Northface I used to have. Also feels really nicely made.
Bad points: The elastic sternum strap keeps coming loose, would be 5 if not for this. Also if you have a thin waist like me then you might have trouble fastening the waist strap - I'm about 31" waist and this is virtually as tight as it can go. This is also a problem on my Osprey Atmos backpack.

Comments about Osprey Raptor 10 Hydration Pack - M/L - 100 fl. oz.:
Went to REI looking for a hydration pack to bike with because the streets in Houston are so bad they keep knocking the bottle out of my cage. Looked at camelbaks, but didn't like their designs. One of the workers recommeded the Osprey because it's clearly made for biking. Hydration, u lock pocket, place for tools, helmet lock. I was using a topeak trunk before, now I just put every thing in the pack, throw the helmet on and go. Got it on sale for [$] for last years color.I will agree with another reveiwer that brighter colors or more reflective material would be a bonus. I have also noticed that a fuller bladder cuts into the interior space. Propably should have gotten a bigger pack as well, but with the sale the next biggest was $100, couldn't justify the difference.

Comments about Osprey Raptor 10 Hydration Pack - M/L - 100 fl. oz.:
I really like this pack. Even after fifty+ miles of mtn biking, I don't even know it's there. I did shorten the hose, the way it comes the hose pushes to the left side of my mouth, cutting off about six inches made the fit perfect. It now isn't long enough to connect with the magnetic keeper, but I just let it dangle, it's easy enough to find.
Other than that, it's everything as advertised.

Comments about Osprey Raptor 10 Hydration Pack - M/L - 100 fl. oz.:
I use this for mountain biking. I am impressed with the quality of this pack, everything was well thought and fits great. It keeps firm during the ride and the hip belt keeps most of the wight off your shoulders. Feels much more stable than my previous pack. I like the magnetic belt that keeps the bite valve in place and near the chest. Finally, I like the reservoir system that makes it very easy to fit inside the bag and holds its shape without creating a bulk in the bottom of the bag.

I think that this is a great pack. It does not slip around, and it has lots of pockets. Osprey did not miss a detail, i would add nothing to this pack. The resievor also works well. I love this pack.
