The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Showers Pass Club Pro Bike Jacket - Women's:
I was really excited to get this jacket since it's a local company for me, and since I've seen a lot of people around wearing them I figured it must perform pretty well.
I did not pay full price for this jacket, and even so it was way too much. The first time I wore it in the rain, my forearms and shoulders got soaked. There's no cover over the zipper, either, so in heavy or consistent rain it tends to leak where it bends at the stomach. After a call to Showers Pass, they replaced the jacket for me, but the second jacket did exactly the same thing. It seems like there's something about the arms and shoulders that just doesn't keep out water. Since I've had this problem, I've talked to a bunch of other people with the same issue, even though the woman at Showers Pass seemed to think I was crazy for mentioning it.
It doesn't pack up particularly well either.
Basically, I like the cut of it, and it fits well, but other than that there's not much to recommend it. And it'd definitely on the worst end of rain jackets I've ever had. I've already decided I need to buy a different jacket for next winter, which is saying a lot because I hate to buy things until what I have totally wears out. I would definitely not recommend this jacket.

Comments about Showers Pass Club Pro Bike Jacket - Women's:
I bought this jacket at an end-of-season clearance sale in May, wore it often during the summer, and have been wearing it regularly through now, which is the beginning of November.
What I like about it is that it's very lightweight - it adds very little warmth, but has great venting, so it's nice for light rain when it's over 50 degrees. I've worn it over an Icebreaker midlayer down to 34 degrees, and it's been great.
As a windbreaker, it does its job well enough, provided that the wind is coming from only the front. If you have a cold wind coming from your back, forget it! The downside to the great venting is that wind blows straight up the vent in the middle of the back. Brrrr! I often wear a backpack when I ride, especially when it's cold out, so this particular problem is rarely an issue for me.
My biggest complaint is that the jacket isn't actually waterproof, and that's a problem here in Portland. (A problem that I expected this Portland company to have solved!) Like some others, I experience the Showers Pass "wet sleeve" problem, which seems to be that moisture accumulates on the inside of the sleeve during a downpour. The first time it happened, I thought that it was maybe because I'd not tightened the wrist straps tight enough, but after it happened a few more times, I now know that it's the jacket. As we're heading into the main cold-and-rainy season now, I'm looking for a replacement for this jacket that's actually waterproof.

Comments about Showers Pass Club Pro Bike Jacket - Women's:
I started biking a few years ago, but since then did a 5000 mile bike tour and commute 10 mi each way to work. I got this jacket a few weeks ago (so can't say much about durability) but so far it has been excellent!! Great color and good reflection. I think it looks pretty nice on too (huge plus!) Even though there's no insulation, it keeps me warm on the drizzily, 50 degree Seattle fall mornings (even when I just wear a tank top under it). I also run in it occasionally, but I get a bit too warm, even with the vents open.
Sizing: I am 5'4'', 125 lb and usually wear either a small or medium but usually lean towards mediums. With this I am definitely a small--I can even wear my puffy down jacket underneath with no problem.
All around absolutely fantastic jacket. Highly recommended.
