Comments about Arc'teryx Accelero Jacket - Men's:
Bought this for running. It just does NOT breathe. Have never had this happen before with a running jacket, but basically the insides of the sleeves would fill up with puddles of sweat underneath my elbows and forearms as I ran, and then when I stopped and allowed my hands to point downwards toward the ground, it would just pour out like emptying a water bottle. Terrible. I returned it to REI and exchanged it for the Salomon XT Zip-Off Jacket, which is amazing.

Comments about Arc'teryx Accelero Jacket - Men's:
Arc'teryx has a great reputation, but this jacket is just hype! As some others have pointed out, this jacket does not wick away moisture. I went for a 30 minute run and my sweat was literally running down the sleeves and out the cuff. I was disappointed and returned this jacket this morning. Opting for the REI Airflyte, hopefully will get better results.
This jacket is more of a "trendy" runner jacket, not a functional runner's jacket. If the jacket had pockets, I might keep it for a cool spring or fall day to run errands in, but definately not qualifying as a runner's jacket in my book.

Comments about Arc'teryx Accelero Jacket - Men's:
This thing does NOT breathe enough. Sweat pools (in an actual puddle) around my forearms/elbows as I run (because it can't get through the fabric), and pours out of the cuffs when I stop and point my hands down toward the ground. Absolutely unacceptable. The rest of the jacket is made of the same material: might as well wear a plastic bag (a beautifully-made plastic bag, but plastic nonetheless). Also, the zipper does not stay where I put it (unless fully closed) and the jacket tends to ride back on my body as I run, which is annoying. On the plus side: it's machine washable, weather-resistant, and seems durable, but I will be returning it for something else.

Comments about Arc'teryx Accelero Jacket - Men's:
Like other Arc garments, it's well made, handsome, and probably functions extremely well. But it's much too roomy for me. At 5-10 and less than 140, I have trouble finding many Smalls that will fit properly. Unfortunately, this is one of those. I wish Arc made its Smalls a little smaller; then again, I'd need another closet if they did. Although this seems intended for aerobic sports, it seems cut more for climbers. On my admittedly scrawny runner's body with admittedly shortish arms, the chest is too wide (although the stomach is decently trim) and the sleeves are much too long. If you have a well-developed upper body and long arms, or like extra sleeve length for reaching, then this will work for you. For my purposes, i.e., running with just a thin shirt underneath, it's too roomy through the body and has too much fabric weighing me down in the arms. The three stars don't reflect the quality of the piece, just my disappointment at how this is cut for its intended use--high-output activities.

Comments about Arc'teryx Accelero Jacket - Men's:
I was excited to order this from REI and be able to wear it outdoors in mild weather.
The fabric is very light and breathable and reminds me of the soft cloth like material my Macbook was wrapped from the factory.
Unfortunately, this Arcteryx product is a huge let down and almost feels cheap which is very unusual for this brand.
The garment appears to be fairly fitted to the model but in truth it wears more like a trash bag around the hem and chest (size M). I'm 6'1 and 170lbs.
I'll be taking this back and getting another brand that fits truer to size.

Comments about Arc'teryx Accelero Jacket - Men's:
I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about... I'm 6'0" 170Lbs and the Medium fits like it was tailored for me. It breathes REMARKABLY well and is lighter than a cotton t-shirt. If you are a runner you want this jacket, heck I want to get another just to have it in multiple colors. My only complaint would be that the only pocket it has is the bicep ipod pocket but when I'm running I don't use hand pockets anyway. get it, you won't regret it.
