by fromThey look great, but... These look great and appear to be very well made. I wish I could say more about them, however they are so uncomfortably narrow that they were impossible to wear and had to be returned. Vasque often run somewhat narrow, but these were even more so than average.

by fromnot top quality These shoes were great for a month or two, until they started to wear out like shoes from payless. I really liked the look and the fit of them when I first got them. The laces allow you to customize the fit for thinner or slightly wider feet, or if you want to cinch them down so you don't pack your toes on the downhill. The tread however wore out very quickly. These shoes are very slippery on polished and wet rocks. After a couple months the stitching that holds the seams together began to spread apart, and a hole was easily ripped in the material on a short day hike. I think these are great shoes to wear around town or for a walk in the park, but if you plan to put them through the ringer like I did, get something that will give you more for your money.

by fromExtremely comfortable but don't last These are very comfortable shoes for my picky feet. I do a lot of day hiking - probably 30 miles a week. I have been using these as my mainstay shoes for a year. I find the traction to be excellent. The sole seems to last quite well. Not sure why one reviewer found the soles wearing out so quick. But all of my juxt shoes are falling apart. The fabric they used to line the shoes is junk. I've had no issues with other brands like keen or lowa but these juxt shoes develop major holes in the heel area in no time. I contacted vasque (red wing shoes actually???) and gave them photos showing the lining damage on many pairs, and how little the soles were worn (ie they were not shoes that were walked to death). They said "normal wear and tear" and forget the warranty. They don't care. They expect the shoe to last a month or two, it seems. Do you? I don't.

by fromwore out fast I loved the look of these so thought I'd give them a try - I was pleased at first, but I've only had these 6 months and the sole on the heel has worn through to the softer underlayer and the outside toebox is ripped. Short lived. Shoulda got something with Vibram soles....

by fromNice shoes but they wont last long... I was pretty excited when I found these, nice and comfortable, good traction. Can wear in the office or out on the trail and they have pretty good traction the problem is within 6 months they just looked trashed with moderate use. Toe-box area got a hole and the material faded and just looked really bad. If they could improve the durability of this shoe it would be pretty sweet. However I need shoes that last longer than six months..

by fromSo far so good! Got these for an early Xmas present. Took them for a 60 mile stroll up and down the hills of Austin and no problems. Was worried about reading how many wrote about early wear, but have yet to see any. Sole still good like new.

by fromA laurel and hearty hand shake to Vasque Missed 5 stars 'cause of the laces. They seem to untie or loosen randomly. I selected them from the choices REI presented in their price range +/- $15.
