The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about Osprey Stratos 24 Pack:
Have been using this locally to prepare for our Camino trip next month. Planning on one pack for carry-on and hiking both. This pack fits the bill. Have been able to fit in all my clothes (pants, shirts, underwear, socks/liners, pair of sandals, shorts, vest, rain jacket) and toiletries with room for more. Slots on side accommodate one .75liter water bottle each. Will not be using a sleeping bag on this trip.
I am a heavy perspirer so the mesh back support away from the pack is a godsend.
The straps to hold the trek poles are great. I LOVE THIS PACK!

Comments about Osprey Stratos 24 Pack:
This is a great day pack. I own two other Osprey packs (Aether 70 and Talon 44), and this one did not disappoint! This replaces an older day pack that I have owned for many years. After going from my larger Osprey packs (very comfortable) to my smaller day pack, I realized I really needed a new day pack.
This pack is great, with a few pockets and pole straps. However, I don't think lots of pockets are a good thing, because it just adds weight. This is a very nice balance of the two.
The size is a little small for my needs, but I can't blame that on the pack. It's a 24liter, I should have gotten a little larger, but I am still happy with this.

Comments about Osprey Stratos 24 Pack:
This pack seemed like it would be pretty awesome, and the comfort was, but a few things weren't so awesome. The mesh pockets could hardly fit my 16oz nalgene, and trying to get a 32oz in there was a huge challenge.
When you open the main compartment you can see that the frame bows inwards taking up pack space and limiting what you can get in there. This was intended to be my "solve every problem" pack: school, day hikes, U.L. backpacking, commuting, etc. I could fit 3 binders for school maximum and it was awkward and difficult to get them in.
As for fit, I'm 5'10'' 150lbs and the medium was too large even with my torso measuring 48cm. You really have to cinch down the shoulder straps to get this thing off your butt. I also noticed that the frame kind of pinched me a bit on the bottom.
I'd recommend that you try this one on in store just to get the proper sizing and to see if you like the loading system. I wish it worked out for me because it was super comfy.

Comments about Osprey Stratos 24 Pack:
I bought this pack so I could have something fairly compact that I could use while traveling around South Korea, but would also be good if I wanted to get out and get some dayhikes in. So far, it fits the bill perfectly. It's just at home on the subway in Seoul as it is on top of a peak.

Comments about Osprey Stratos 24 Pack:
I was looking to upgrade from a Camelbak Mule, mainly to carry more winter and camera gear. I spent about an hour at REI trying on packs from Marmot, Mountain Hardwear, Deuter, Gregory, North Face; pretty much all that was on the shelf. I put weight in the packs and tested the adjustments, the features, and I really liked this pack because it fit comfortably on my back.
I also like the mesh back on the frame with ample space for air to flow (I tend to run hot in the summer!).
This pack has enough stow space for all my DSLR camera gear, nice hip pockets for my point-and-shoots, phone, and bars, and the special ability to stow poles on the left side without taking the pack off was a huge bonus. The three pockets on the back open easily with the zippers, and the included rain cover is great. I've had it out on a few hikes and it is very comfortable. If you need a fully-equipped day hiking pack, take a look at this!

Comments about Osprey Stratos 24 Pack:
This is the best pack I've owned for commuting.
Back Panel:
The mesh back panel is awesome. The reason I bought the pack. Really amazing. It's curved and actually directs air onto my back, so it may vent better than not wearing the pack (maybe). I get to work with a dry back, even when I'm riding 5 miles or more in hot summer weather.
Size:
It's a perfect size for carry a small tool kit, change of clothes and a rain jacket. The curved back does intrude on the space. Not a big deal. Only issue I've had is carrying a laptop. The laptop ends up sitting at an angle and cuts the space in half. You can put stuff over and under the laptop, but if you're travelling for work, you often have to pull the laptop out to get at your clothes. Like I said, not a big deal, but can be a little tricky if you're changing clothes in a small, cramped bathroom stall.
Rain Cover:
The integrated rain cover has kept my stuff dry in a downpour that lasted 20 minutes.
Overall:
Best pack I've ever owned. Period.
Previous Products:
Vaude pack
The mesh wore out pretty quickly, rendering the pack useless.
Patagonia Messenger bag
Still get a sweaty back, hard to carry heavier items.
Crumpler Mahoubar
Has no frame and doesn't work well when heavily loaded or lightly loaded. It only works when it's full, but doesn't weigh much. Also causes sweaty back issues.

I use my Stratos both to commute by bike to work and on lengthy day hikes. The pack has adequate storage, packs easily and is very comfortable to wear. Nice ventilation between my back and the pack. Love it!

Comments about Osprey Stratos 24 Pack:
I use this pack for everything, work, camping and travel. It is extremely comfortable with a lot of stuff packing into it.
The other great thing about this pack is that it fits my torso. I have a long torso so I needed a pack with waist belt that did that. This pack does that and I am very happy.

Comments about Osprey Stratos 24 Pack:
I was looking for a good backpack that would get me through my last years in college and then double as a solid daypack after graduating. I was a bit concerned that the 24L would be a bit small to fit a laptop and books inside so i opted for the large in hopes of being able to squeeze every last bit of room for the pack. i'm a little over 6' and 210 lbs and what i found is that the large is veeery long and you really have to cinch up the shoulder straps to get the pack to sit where it needs to on the hips. also because of the suspension of the bag, you can't just zip open the top of the bag and slide in books or a laptop, the cargo space of the pack is actually a slight rainbow from top to bottom. Also the side pockets do NOT fit a nalgene, which completely blew my mind. All in all a decent pack, not the greatest but better than my old jansport backpack.
