Rated5out of5byPatrick LfromGreat DaypackI've used it for a few day hikes and it is just the perfect size. Everyting I need goes in there, and the pack stays comfortable. I recently went up Mt Whitney carrying 14 lbs and it was very comfy.
The only drawback is that some of the straps are too long and have a tendency to snag when I carrying it in my hand (i.e. in and out of the car, my house etc.). Nothing is perfect... :)

Rated5out of5byWaveloverfromGreat for day hikesI like that is sits off the back and allows air circulation. A bit small on space, but adequate for a day hike.

Rated5out of5byhotcoldhikerfromgreat little daypackI took this packlet to Greenland for an 8-day trek, and it was exceedingly comfortable under rugged conditions. The mesh kept my back cool; the straps adjusted easily for maximum comfort. Two beefs: it is short on interior space for the full range of day-hiking needs (fleece, jacket, camera, lunch, emergency stuff). And I found it difficult to prop upright on the ground or wherever. It easily tips. But I have no regrets; this is my daypack from now on.

Rated5out of5byYang Cong ToufromCool and comfortableExecutive summary: Hiking, cycling - 5 stars; Office, campus - 2 stars. This pack pretty much made me an Osprey fan boy. If you buy this pack you need to be aware of the trade-offs that the ventilated back panel brings, which makes packing a bit of a challenge. I sweat like a pig and this pack is far and away the best hot weather or intense activity pack I have ever owned.
My Stratos is about ready for retirement after years of abuse commuting on my bike and many days out on the trail. It's about the most comfortable pack I have owned and nothing beats it in hot weather. Despite being held off your back by the tensioned-mesh back panel, it is incredibly stable on a bike even when overloaded. I dodged crazy Beijing traffic commuting on a bike with this bag crammed full of stuff for several years. It never budged, and was super comfy. There's a lot of adjustment possible and it may take a bit of tuning to get the best fit. On the trail, it's more of the same. It goes for miles and miles.
The curved shape of the frame makes it a bit tricky to pack, especially if you are commuting with a laptop. Stuffing large items like a digital SLR, books or a cube-shaped food container will give you some grief. Likewise all the straps that make it so adjustable will be a nuisance in the office. There are better choices if your primary use is to ride the train to the office or walk around campus with a laptop and a bunch of books.
The size is right for a full day out. It holds enough stuff for a day out in the crazy weather here in the UK and all of it will stay dry under the attached rain cover, best idea ever. If your primary use is hiking, cycling or other active pursuit, then this pack is a 5-star option.

Rated5out of5byRon LfromCool day pack!I bought this pack for my adult son who also enjoys hiking. I've owned one like it for 2 years and it has been a great day pack. Here in the west we often have to carry a lot of water on extended day hikes and with less than 20 lbs. you forget you even have it on--plus the mesh cushion helps keep your back cooler than other packs I've used.

Rated5out of5byGreens81880fromPerfect for Biking and RunningNot to bad, I use it to ride to and from work, it fits my work cloths and lunch with enough room for spare bike parts and shower shoes. I have even used it when I run to and from work, it stays pretty tight while I run and has great air flow.

Rated5out of5byDME-49RfromReady of the Camino de SantiagoHave been using this locally to prepare for our Camino trip next month. Planning on one pack for carry-on and hiking both. This pack fits the bill. Have been able to fit in all my clothes (pants, shirts, underwear, socks/liners, pair of sandals, shorts, vest, rain jacket) and toiletries with room for more. Slots on side accommodate one .75liter water bottle each. Will not be using a sleeping bag on this trip.
I am a heavy perspirer so the mesh back support away from the pack is a godsend.
The straps to hold the trek poles are great. I LOVE THIS PACK!
