Comments about West Paw Bumi Dog Toy - Large:
I have always found dog toys to be tough and boring like a Kong or fun and short lived like a tennis ball (which only lasts about a minute). The Bumi is the first toy that lasts a long time and keeps my dogs interested. My two younger dogs will run around the house and play tug of war for hours, and even after the tips have been chewed off, they still seem to have fun.

Comments about West Paw Bumi Dog Toy - Large:
I've been though all manner of dog toys for my 55lb Mix(Flint). He's chewed them all to pieces or can't be bothered with them. This toy is great however. It keeps his attention from playing tug and fetch with me, keep-a-way with other dogs or just throwing it into the air and catching it again. My folks gave him a 2nd one for Christmas so he now has one for the dog park and one for the house. My favorite feature is that it floats in the water.
The one drawback is that it is slippery when wet so if Flint has just come out of the lake the ends can be hard for me to keep a hold of to play tug. Other than that it's a great product.

My dog loves it and will pull for hours but I can't let him chew on it cause he chews the ends off and eats the pieces. Not what I was hoping for.

Comments about West Paw Bumi Dog Toy - Large:
We've tried EVERYTHING "tuff toys", "kong's", "Jolly Balls" (FOR HORSES)...and our 9 month old Golden Retriever has it in pieces within the hour...EXCEPT for her Bumi. I bought it after she played tug for hours with another dog who had one, the two of them pulled and pulled and it snapped back into shape immediately, they never once put so much as a tooth mark into it. She now lays on the living room floor and chews for hours, never once puncturing this toy, it's AMAZING!
The packaging on the one that I bought stated that they had a life time replacement policy if our pup does ever rip it up and that they melt down the old one to make news, very green!

Comments about West Paw Bumi Dog Toy - Large:
This is a great toy for dogs that love to kill toys. We have an pit/lab/pointer mix that destroys everything and he can barely leave a mark in these zogoflex toys. We have the Tux, the Huck and the Bumi and he loves them all. Of the three the Bumi is the most versatile. It can be turned like a "U" and held like a great tug toy. It can be used as a "soft toy" which the dog shakes around. It can also be used in fetch games as it bounces strange. The toy is not indestructible but it's darn close. With a watchful eye when they first get it, you can make these toys last forever. The company is eco friendly, they recycle warrantied products, and they keep jobs in the U.S.

Comments about West Paw Bumi Dog Toy - Large:
We received this as a gift and our dogs *LOVE* it. We have a mini-Dachshund and a Doberman. It's a bit large for our Doxie, but she loves a challenge. Our Dobie loves to destroy toys, but this one is still intact and we've had it almost a year. They play tug-of-war with it and also play independently. If a dog has one end, the other end tends to flop around and wiggle, and sometimes it gets caught on a door or other object. This makes it behave more like live prey and think that's why they enjoy it so much. It's very comfortable to hold onto while playing with your dog.

Comments about West Paw Bumi Dog Toy - Large:
THE ONLY brand of dog toy my lab doesn't destroy! I have a few of these West Paw styles and will only buy these from now on. They're so strong, easy to clean, and they don't break down at all. (I've had some other rubber toys that will tear apart and leave little rubber "crumbs" around the house, these don't at all!)
My pup will go and seek out this toy and just carry it around with him, he loves it!
A great investment. Bought it about 6 months ago, and is still going strong. A record for a dog toy in our house!

Comments about West Paw Bumi Dog Toy - Large:
The toy shaped like a bone has not been torn up by our labs yet and it has been several months. This one was in pieces in less than a couple of hours. VERY disappointing.

Really, thought this wouldn't last, my dogs destroy everything, but I've had good success with REI dog toys, so I thought I'd give it a whirl... plus it said right on the package, if your dog destroys it send it back. I bought, they love, and it's still going strong after a couple months of rough play, chewing, and the works... Very Happy!

Comments about West Paw Bumi Dog Toy - Large:
Have other toys from this brand, always been impressed...though have to say was concerned the toy would tear apart in rough play. So far has held up great, and is a breeze to wash down. Glad i bought it. Keep up the good work.
