I am 6'1" tall 150lbs, I have a 32 inch waist but I purchased a 30inch waist size since as with most manufacturers Kuhl wants people to believe they are skinnier than they are. Length falls just above my knee. They fit well/cleanly with the exception of a rather long crotch. Easy movement due to the lightweight stretchy material. I like the styling and the function, enough pockets, but not too bulky and not too many. The cell/accessory pocket will let things fall out easily if your knee goes above your hip, so be ware. Excellent weight for summer climbing/hiking.

I have a few of these shorts and wear them very often for all kinds of activities. They are great for every day wearing or things such as running, hiking, or backpacking. I have even swam in them a few times. The only thing that I don't like is that the material under the crotch has worn out a lot, like fuzz balls coming off the material. They are also a bit overpriced, but other than those things they are great pants.

I was a little nervous about spending this much for a pair of shorts, but they are worth the cost. These are now my second pair of Khul shorts. I have nothing but good things to say about these shorts. They fit great and very comfortable, well built, allows for ease of movement and look great. I highly recommend them!

I was going on a business trip where I would be spending 2 days outside on hot asphalt in an exhibition area and did not want to wear cotton. I picked these up due to their synthetic fabric and breathability. Ambient temps were well above 100 but I was comfortable all day in these shorts. Cell phone pocket is ingenious. Can't wait to try them out on my next hike.

The material and the build quality are very good. But the pros end here.
Except for the waist, which is right on, every other dimension is small.
The shorts claim to have a 12 inch inseam. But, when worn, it ends at the same place as my 10 inch shorts, which is just above the knees. By comparing these to the 10 inch inseam ones, I found that the rise of the Renegade is just too short.
The fit is also too tight. Tight in every area, the crotch, the buttocks, and the thighs, except for the leg openings which are surprisingly generous if not too big. Wearing these shorts is a lot like wearing tights. The shorts specifically claim to accommodate athletic thighs and, by once running for my high school track team, I think I qualify for athletic thighs. But if not for the stretchy material, I would rip the shorts apart by simply taking steps.
The color is not as shown either. The khaki color in the pictures is greyish. But the actual color is moss-like, a mix of green and brown.
For the ones in need of a pair of stretchy, tight-fitting shorts, these are worth looking into. But for people who want a pair of more "regular" shorts, they can just forget about these.
One extra star for the material.
