Take to twisting county roads and urban streets aboard the Raleigh Grand Sport and find the freedom of a great ride, thanks to the lively feel and dependable construction of this road bike.

  • Hydroformed and butted aluminum frame is paired with a carbon fork to provide weight savings, great handling and efficient power transfer
  • FSA Omega Compact crankset is paired with Shimano 8-speed components for 16 gear combinations to keep you spinning comfortably no matter the grade
  • Shimano 2300 STI shifters and brake levers are comfortable and responsive in-hand
  • Tektro Dual-Pivot caliper brakes ensure controlled deceleration and easy finessing of speed
  • Low-resistance Vittoria Zaffiro tires are mounted on tough double-walled Weinmann rims for reliable rolling performance
  • Mounts for rack and fenders (sold separately) let you easily transform this into a year-round commuter or training bike
  • Specs are subject to change

After its initial break-in period you might notice your bicycle performing less responsively than the day you brought it home. Not to worry, this is typical of all new bicycles and simply reflects that cables have stretched or their housings have seated themselves into final position. To keep running at peak performance, all REI bicycles come with a FREE warranty tune-up, which should be accomplished between the first 100-200 miles of riding or after the first two months if you're accumulating miles less quickly. Contact your nearest REI bike shop for details and an appointment for this important service.

Comments about Raleigh Grand Sport Bike - 2010:

This is my first road bike. I use it to commute around a hilly, rocky town to classes. This is a fantastic bike that definitely gets the job done. I looked at several bikes, and this one was the best for the money. Sometimes the gears are hard to change, but I think every bike has its own little quirks. This bike is also very durable. I've hit some pretty serious potholes on it, and it is still in great shape! I got a new seat for it...although I think the old seat was actually more comfortable!

Comments about Raleigh Grand Sport Bike - 2010:

I use the bike for riding around town and on paved trails. Very quick, shifts smoothly, and absorbs shock very well. The stock seat is awful so I replaced it with a Fizik seat. The pedals are also awful. At least the cons were easily upgradeable to turn this into a great bike. It could also use a carbon seat post for a less rigid ride. I love the flat handlebars, however not a lot of lights fit on the flattened bars, but there is a Sigma light that works.
