Have hiked in these for 2 years. They show signs of wear, but not of wearing out. Fit perfectly first time I put them on. No break in. Good ankle support; stable on scree. Love them.

Might be a little light for harsh cross country terrain and/or pack weights over 55 pounds.

Fresh out of the box and I haven't tested these yet on the trail, but they feel comfortable and lightweight yet sturdy enough for heavy trail use and carrying a pack. I'm a 6.5 with a medium to wide foot, high arch and high instep, and they feel about right. However, the laces that came with the boots are too short--only 46"--so I needed to buy new laces. I plan to be using these on mountain trails and talus, so will report back.

This is my second pair of Scarpa's. I tried on a ton of other boots before finally ordering these online and wish I hadn't wasted my time. For my feet, they have the perfect fit. I've been hiking in them multiple times a week (day hikes and occasional backpacking) for over a year and they are still in great shape. I only wish they had an all leather version.

Best fit I ever had for my narrow feet. They feel like slippers...and I didn't need any brake-in time for the first use (5 miles). Light shoes, very comfortable and for the first time, my feet didn't slide when I was going down. I'm so happy! They should be sold in every REI store for customers with narrow feet.
