I bought this dress after reading several online reviews. I was pleasantly surprise by the drape and the comfort - although, the sash took me a few tries to figure out.

Definitely a backpacking/travel dress, it would be difficult to dress it up for an evening out. It definitely works as a casual day dress and I can see it handling well in heat.

The only negative mark goes toward the tendency for the dress to sneak down a bit and reveal my bra. I have worked around this by adding a shirt overtop or underneath, but be prepared. The v-cut is pretty low.

Comments about Icebreaker Villa Dress:

My sister (who doesn't live near me) tried on this dress but thought it made her look frumpy. Not knowing that, I saw it in the store & tried it on - and it fits me really well! Needless to say, she was a bit jealous.I'm not very curvy, 5'7" & 135# - I usually wear a small in Icebreaker clothing, but the medium fits much better. The small was too tight around the waist/hips. The top of this dress is a little looser than the photos on the website, but I think it looks nice. It's amazingly comfortable. I have to wear a slip if I'm wearing it over tights since the wool fabric catches. It can be dressed up with a cardigan & flats or heels for work, or you can go casual with sandals to a picnic. Great basic dress. 4 stars because it didn't fit well for my sister & for the sizing difference.
