I own several pair of bike shorts including another Pearl Select with thicker padding. These shorts are by far my favorite. I have been wearing these for three summers so far and they have held up extremely well. The padding is just right, not thick & bulky, and not too thin, very comfortable. I have never had any issues with soreness or chafing. Of all my bike shorts, I prefer this length to the others that are longer as it doesn't create strange looking bulges on the leg like my others do. I have large legs and the leg opening is comfortable. I feel these have a nicer look than the longer bike shorts. Also, when it is cooler outside (about 35-40 degrees) I wear these under athletic pants with tapered legs instead of buying long bike pants.

I have worn these on very long bike rides (80 miles),shorter rides and everything in-between. They are my bike short of choice....so much so that I bought another pair this summer. The padding isn't exactly the same as two years ago, but still the same great product. They hold up well in the washer, I don't put them in the dryer. I can't say anything negative about these bike shorts.

The picture doesn't do these justice. They look much better once you see them on. I originally ordered the Sugar Shorts, but ended up with these. They look longer in the picture than they actually are, but are still long enough that you don't get bulges! The seams are flattering and the band on the legs is just right...not too tight. (I am super picky and these work for me!)

I wear these to spin class and on my outdoor rides. Not sure how they do in cold weather as I admit I'm a warm weather cycler. Padding is great with chamois butter for longer rides. They are very comfortable, fit great. I love these shorts and have several pair.

I am a new biker so these are my first pair of shorts. I tried on several styles at the store and found that these were the most comfortable and form fitting. I am 5'7" size 4 and bought a size M.
I don't have too much to comment about since I'm new to biking but all I can saw is 15 min of riding without them my butt was sore for 2 days, but with these shorts I can go on a 3 hr ride without any "saddle" pain. They were more expensive than I wanted to spend, but I'm glad I did.

If these are the shorts with the blue padding inside, I strongly recommend reconsidering these. I have done long rides with other PI shorts and never had chaffing issues. These caused chaffing (even after using cream...twice) less than 15 miles into a 36mi ride.

This is my first pair of cycling shorts. I'm 5'5", 130 lbs and I find that they're the right length and they don't ride up your legs or squeeze at the opening. Also very durable - I crashed and the shorts were completely unscathed but my skin underneath was not! I'd highly recommend them.

Love these shorts. I started with the Elite and returned them for these. I've biked 20-100 miles at a time without discomfort. These shorts are on the short side and they look as great as they perform. Wished I'd bought two!

As soon as I put these shorts on I knew they would be great. They are so comfortable and non binding. The leg openings are great--I'm a big girl and it doesn't look like I have a third thigh with them The waist doesn't roll which is great. Highly recommend these shorts for long or short rides.

These fit perfectly and were a good length for my height (5'11"). The elastic around the legs is very comfortable as these are the first pair of bike shorts in a long time that I didn't roll the shorts up so the elastic wouldn't touch my leg. The padding is good and contoured in just the right places. Only drawback was the shorts snagged on my bike bag under my seat while riding. I'll deal with that.

I cycled with these shorts for the first time yesterday and they offer plenty of padding compared to my other cycling shorts. The legs do not ride up but stay in place which is nice. The shorts also look pretty good on for cycling shorts! The only thing I would say is that because the padding is quite adequate, it makes it rather stuffy down under. So I would just say that there could be a little more moisture wicking properties to the shorts as a recommendation. I will deal though since these shorts are comfortable, fit well, and provide a cushy ride.
